  2. Thought you had a 2017 facelift one - thats a one piece grill - apologies Yes the 2013-2016 ones had 2 piece ones which join together. In the UK the dealers will sell the whole grill as a piece.   3. I've given up with EV mode unless in car parks to sneak up on people. Its painfully slow to get up to speed in EV mode without activating the excessive acceleration bing

  5. You're very lucky they replaced that Normal leather will crease and does crease - there's no rules as to how long it should take to crease. For some it takes years, others can take a few weeks. Lexus leather does tend to crease easier because its soft - other heavily modified leathers, for example BMW Dakota leather will not crease at all because its more akin to rhino skin than actual leather!
  6. Well yes, dependent on the vehicle of course but the current Lexus lineup will be safe on standard unleaded in the UK.
  7. Looks OK but Im a bit disappointed. Thought it was going to look a lot more aggressive than it does. Anyhow - from the pictures, appears the interior has got a large 10" screen, some newly designed seats and the drivers side of the dashboard looks similiar to the LC with the drive control setting knobs. There's also a new gearshifter and the UX seems to be getting the new touchpad from the LC as well and of course the steering wheel. I cant see any volume control knobs so maybe they are similiar in position to the LC i.e near the touchpad. Overall, I like the cabin design - simple and elegant. I like how the screen has atleast been semi integrated too. Also a word on some new engines. Lexus has revealed a 2.0l Direct injection 4 cylinder with 169hp and 151 pound-feet of torque. And the new hybrid to go into the UX250h is a combination of 107hp motors and a 143hp petrol engine. No combined figure yet but expect around 160-170hp. The engine is supposed to be a lot more efficient than the outgoing 1.8l in the CT and 10% lighter.
  8. I don't think any car is good in the mud really is it unless its AWD. Mud will always cause some sort of spin just because of how slippy it is The car has summer tyres on new, some are Bridgestones, others tend to be Dunlops. Our IS has only caused the traction control light to flicker when turning from a flat road onto a steep hill which caused one of the rear tyres to be momentarily lifted. Summer tyres, on a cold day will slip somewhat anyway, especially if not warmed up sufficiently. Takes about 8-10 mins of constant driving for tyres to warm up (seen in an M140i)
  9. Depends on the car though Some mercs swing up all the way, as do some BMWs.
  10. Yes, as in its not going to do any damage or worsen the durability. Might run a bit smoother and get more performance out of super unleaded but maybe 0.1s to 60mph - but I guess every little helps at the traffic lights
  11. Its also down marginally on outright combined power compared to the IS300h as well - which is really odd when you think about it. I hear there's some new engines coming, some are electric. However, Lexus notoriously takes ages updating engines so I would presume that they would come with the 2nd gen NX in 2021
  12. Agreed with this They price extremely high compared to competitors. What inevitably ends up happening is they cant sell the car so they push it all the way down. Same thing happened with my wife's IS300h from Chester
  13. Heated rear seats are an option in the states, along with electric rear outer seats with electric folding for the bench. No idea why they didn't include it in the UK. Luckily, Im usually the only one in the car so its not too much of a problem I too have contemplated an RR Sport. I managed to test drive a facelift last week and I couldn't really justify the cost to change. It came out to almost £70k with the same spec. Granted they hold their value rather well but forking out another £32k is a lot for not much more. May as well get another RX, but I love this one, so I think Ill keep it a while!
  14. Not sure because Ive had 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017 IS's as loaner vehicles and none of them flung up when you used the key fob or the button.
  15. Not the best idea to search howmanyleft for a car thats just come out Results are hugely skewed by the number of dealer demonstrators. IMO the standard wheels look much better than the Sport pack ones. Id probably be radical and go for Burgundy red with the Ochre interior.
  16. I find all variants comfortable. The cars with 17" and 16" wheels have a much better ride I didn't notice a huge difference in ride on the Premier models compared to the F-Sport Was the C350 a W204? My Father in law has a Sport version running on the same tyres as the IS F-Sport and I found that bone jarring when it hit any kind of bump or expansion joint
  17. If you're doing short trips most of the time, then that will be completely normal. My wife mainly does short trips in the IS and gets around 30mpg. I get the same in my RX but my distances are often longer. Its mainly because the engine needs to heat up fully so will be on even if you're coasting around using motors. Once its fully warm, it'll switch off more often and for longer periods of time.
  18. Urm, the boot shouldnt be swinging up It just pops and then you have to do it manually. Obviously, don't stick your chin in the way.

  22. Appears the red IS-F is back again. I believe Lexus Cheltenham had it first - previous Doctor owner who only drove it 5k miles or something. Then it didn't sell so was shipped off to Lexus Coventry. Anyway, someone has been enjoying it and its back on the market for close enough to say £30k.   23. Yes, exactly, thats whats happening. At the end of the braking sequence, its almost always on 0.
  24. It'll handle better than the current CT if its on the TNGA platform. I dont think there'll be much in terms of weight difference between the CT and UX to be honest. The new platform is lighter and I presume the new engine will be more efficient.
  25. I dont agree with this. The traction is pretty epic - you can't get the car to slip no matter what unless you turn everything off - and even then, just a tad of slip.
