I saw a sticker on my gearbox with a date on it reading 02-14 whiles looking under my Is 200 se Manual drive. Considering that my car is an 04 reg, does this mean that I have to change the gear oil after 10 years which coincides with this 02-14 sticker. If not please can anyone tell me how often the gear oil need to be changed on the Is 200 Manual drives. Thank you.

Your problem sounds like exactly what I had about two years ago. I can safely tell you that there is may be a leak on the radiator somewhere which is difficult to see. If your water level is dropping constantly then you definitely need a new radiator. Good luck.

What is the most effective way to clean the is 200 air filter. How long are these supposed to last considering the fact that some of us do not do a lot of mileage in a year.

Before you do anything, have a good look at the radiator or let a mechanic have a good look at the radiator for you. Sometimes very small leakages in the radiator are difficult to notice. If your radiator is more than five years old then definitely have a look first and check all the hose pipe joints before you start looking at other causes. I had exactly the same problem until a small leakage was detected at the bottom right corner (standing infront of the car) of the radiator. Fixing a new radiator will be less expensive than new engine, head gasket etc. Hope this helps.
