  1. could you tell me which type is for switches and which is for illumination?
  2. Hi I can't upload any pictures to the gallery. I get the message "You have run out of space for uploads". I had used 16MB so I've deleted some pic, now it's showing 12MB and but still get the same message! Any ideas guys?
  3. there's no point installing induction kits without remapping ecu... you're thinking you've gained some power because of good sound but in most cases you're actually loosing it. k&n panel filters are good choice but i heard that pipercross sounds better
  4. Hi guy's. Sorry to bring up and old post. I'm thinking of buying 18'' 8.5 wheels ET30... my lex is dropped obut 40mm (tezno r springs) + slightly rolled arches. Will they fit or do i need some spacers and what size of tires would you recommend?
  5. i've got tezno r on my lex since over 6months and no problems so far. quite a harsh ride but car went down very low about 45mm. generally i'm very happy with them, for that price they're great!
  6. would not even think of paying that sort of money for it. Got mine for £80 in excellent condition
  7. brakes on my lex are soft too... tried rebleeding them 2 times, changed pads and nothing... i got used to it... it's just the first feeling when you step on the pedal but brakes work excellent and pass mot 2times with no probs
  8. the only good solution for this is to get an armrest but they're hard to get and very expensive. I was lucky and got mine for £80 there's one on ebay but... price... :tsktsk: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-IS200-IS300-FRONT-ARM-REST-LEATHER-ALTEZZA-/270938050564?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f152a9004#ht_500wt_1413
  9. Lol no offence Steve but I'd rather hold that large can between my legs then swap my IS for LS400 :P
  10. it all depends on how many miles your travelling a day/year. If you're doing loads you can start saving in just a year! Your calculations do not apply to everyone and they're not very clear anyway ;)
  11. you have to go for a good sequential system, DO NOT USE OLD MANUAL ONES!!! http://www.autogas.co.uk/converting-sequential_injection_system.htm
  12. same here, only small cans are ok :( really poor design, even vws have them better located
  13. thanks for info Patrick. It's good to have a proof from dyno of what is actually happening after modifying your car. Does your car have a modified exhaust?
  14. that's same thing as PCV valve?
  15. no need to change any of these except from the engine oil. Just check the levels of all fluids and top them up if necessary. I use Mobil 1 10W 40 which is semi synthetic and as far as i know it's not recommended to use fully synthetics on high mileage engines
  16. i've got 2 decat pipes fitted They look like cats so shouldn't be a problem with MOT and increase exhaust gas flow so you will notice increased torque in lower rpms and better throttle response. I did notice a difference, now need a decent air intake kit :)
  17. what do you think about this one? http://www.dcperformance.co.uk/uprated/pipercross-pk-induction-kits/lexus/is200.html or would self-made apexi kit work better?
  18. Hi guys. Could anyone tell me where to find a breather valve on my is200? I've checked the manual but can't find it...
  19. Agree with you there. IS 300 is without any doubt the most useless car I have ever driven on snow. Fitted a solution though No probs at all anymore in snow. WOW man! studded tires! that looks sweet :) how much did that cost you if i can ask?
  20. Sorry for replying so late. I've replaced the PCV valve (Part number 12204-70020) and a grommet (part no 90480-18001) which holds it as my old one cracked during removal (I'd recommend to order one before you perform any checks on valve). I did follow the manual instructions and my old valve was faulty! And it was all covered in oil. Unfortunately it didn't sort out the problem and i still get the blue smoke on cold starts :( there's no other problems, engine seems to run very smooth and strong (for 150bhp ;) ). So it seems to be the valve seals after all :( but i'm going to leave it as it is for now. Thanks for help everyone :)
  21. I know it's a different car, but my mazda does the same... my mechanic says it's the valve seals i hope it's not seals. i'm going to check my valve tomorrow
  22. does anyone know the part number for the PCV valve mechanics working for my local dealer are not familiar with this part...
  23. I seem to have the same problem. I'm going to change the PCV and see what happens :)
