  1. Quick circuit of the M25? Run up the A1? I'm open to suggestions folks, but need some additional ideas as well was what won't work/is a poor choice. 🙂 Assuming it's open to all members, then it could be that we have regional groups that aim to meet up centrally somewhere? (Or at an event that's central in the UK?)
  2. The only car I've had where it actually worked well was an X5 45e with the professional driving assistant. Up until it tried to execute a hard left at 75mph on the M27. Happy to just stick to radar cruise now!
  3. I did 50,000 miles in my straight-piped 94 LS400! Fond memories! 🙂
  4. Is there a list available via Carista?
  5. I've been flat out with work, but will try and give it some time and create some detail in the coming days.
  6. Looking good!
  7. Can we get this moved to the events section maybe? Any and all help is much appreciated - I'm not precious about it! 🙂
  8. Thanks guys - initially just circulating ideas to get some feel & feedback 🙂 I'm wondering if a Lands End to John O Groats things might be the way to go... people can join and leave as they wish, do some little detours for sight seeing - maybe take in a car show or something en-route? Very much still at the whiteboard stage!
  9. I'm considering organising a Lexus GT/F roadtrip for 2023. (as discussed with L55 RCF) A lot of us over the years have travelled to shows and events, and whilst those events can be interesting, quite often it's the journey that's exciting. Given the LC500 is an epic GT, what better way to use it than for an extended road trip around the UK? I've had a few thoughts on this, and roughly speaking I think that we could either meet up at a designated start point and head off to do a tour of the Lakes, Wales, N500 etc; or we could do a GT pony express where the route takes in lots of the UK, but members join and leave en-route. (To suit availability, budgets etc) The other big question would be When? I'm thinking late Summer so we have the long evenings, but the kids would be back to school... Any and all ideas, suggestions etc welcome! 🙂
  10. Another few pics to keep us rolling 🙂
  11. Upton Bridge cars & coffee is 100% on! I won't be able to make it as taking delivery of a large amount of wood chippings, however Charlie (the owner) always has an excellent turn out - you won't be disappointed! 😎
  12. Great pics, and one hell of a view you have there! What sort of MPG are you getting then? (Guess dependent on the journey type & length) I used to average about 30-34mpg in my 2019 Rx450hl. On a run, my V8 LC can hit low 30's, but it's not quite the same relaxed drive as the CVT hybrid!
  13. You literally asked more or less the same question, and got the same answer on the black inspiration thread..so why ask again? 🤪
  14. It's a UK thing I think? https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/warranty/lexus-warranty?gclid=CjwKCAiApvebBhAvEiwAe7mHSF9tj6zhuc-ybXO7qwe5jvPnchVSjouB72UZb0rL4MdncS4LhGwHPhoCR1sQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
  15. Sounds like a very similar chat to the one I had! 🤪
  16. It's been a little quiet in here, and as the dismal weather seems to be here for the long run I expect most of us are not getting out to play! So, to brighten things up - share your favourite photos of your LC. 😎
  17. Can't believe that was 11 years ago! After I sold that car it went on to do a charity run to the Monaco and back I think... there is a video somewhere of it on a French GP track hammering along the straight! 😄
  18. I had a custom CAT back system made for mine, was by the simplest and most cost effective solution. Be aware that whilst the OEM system is very well made, the CAT flanges do tend to rust quite badly and often need attention.
  19. Strange answer given the value of the car and relatively low production volume. For reference, a 15" alloy for my 1988 Rx7 was over £500 new back in 2001 - so it's not massively out of kilter.
  20. Once it's all done I will put some photos up 🙂 (right now it's still a bare lump of concrete!)
  21. They offered this to me, but from what I remember the limit on the policy wouldn't actually cover the cost of replacing a wheel - so I declined!
  22. Thanks for that 🙂 I may have accidentally purchased a ton of stuff from various antiques and retro stuff last weekend - and some bits of F1 cars too... 🤪
  23. I'm looking to do similar on the new garage - although the news of the extended lead times isn't encouraging!
