  1. The black inspirations come with leather interiors, even though they are S+ specification, although by their nature you won't get a red one!
  2. I'm hoping you've at least doubled the mileage by now? 😎🤠
  3. Supra is gone now as well!
  4. Might be worth an email to the Lexus concierge to ask? 🙂
  5. My 2p... If you get a black one, or a black inspiration - get it ceramic coated, that will remove 95% of the faff of owning a black car. There are two key choices when it comes to model year: 1) Pre-OPF cars (2017-2020 iirc) sound much nicer and louder. 2) Post 2021 cars will have the updated interface that allows android etc. Last thing to consider is this, the LC500 is a quick car - but it's not in the same league as the V12 Vantage or the V10 R8 in pure pace, it's more Golf-R performance level. Outright pace was never an issue for me, but worth considering it as it looks a lot quicker than it is. (What a time to be alive...a sub 5sec 0-60 and I'm saying it only looks quick! 🤣 )
  6. Press F to pay respects? 🤣
  7. I think I sold mine about a month before the stagnation set in, and that was early July... Winter is never a good time to sell cars, and the nearer you get to Christmas the worse it gets. I think LC500s are generally safe to hold on to, as although there have been various model year revisions there are pros and cons to each. (Earlier cars sounds better, later cars have nicer infotainment etc) I can't ever see LC500's hitting the same depths as the Soarers or SC430s did pricewise.
  8. My sports car/fast car history is heavily Japanese orientated: First to current: 1989 Mazda Rx7 EGi (street port and straight pipes) 1986 Toyota Celica ST165 1988 Mazda Rx7 EGi (street port and straight pipes) 1991 Mazda Rx7 Turbo 2 (decat, remap etc) 1994 Mazda Rx7 Type-R2 (HKS exhaust, remap, Re-Amemiya kit) 1992 Toyota Soarer 1JZ Twin Turbo 1992 Toyota MR2 G-ltd 1984 VW Sirocco Storm 1996 Subaru Impreza Turbo 2000 Wagon 1989 Honda Prelude Executive 1990 Mazda Rx7 Turbo 2 (Decat, remap etc) 1994 Toyota Soarer 1JZ Twin Turbo 1991 Mazda Mx5 1.6 (Track mods including cusco cage, bilstien shocks/springs, AP brakes etc) 1979 Mazda Montrose Coupe (....might have accidentally been converted to a bridge ported rotary with a massive turbo...) 2016 VW Golf-R DSG 2022 Lexus LC500 Black Inspiration 2022 Toyota Supra 3.0 Manual (Akrapovic & Whifbitz exhaust, MST intake, Cusco front and rear braces, FEMTO ecu unlock, BootMod3, OST maps etc - work done at Whifbitz)
  9. Pick one edge and work on that, the bezel is in the centre and around 3" diameter with little lugs on it. IIRC its a pull and slight twist.
  10. It should just unclip from the bezel, there is a single wire to disconnect that powers the heater element.
  11. I have deep suspicions based on the dealer & 85 photos of sod all... 🤣
  12. Elephant were good for me this year.
  13. It's a fairly pointless comparison in many respects - totally different price points, and completely different intent behind the designs. The Supra is much easier to live with on UK roads, (in this neck of the woods at least) and a much more involved driving experience. The LC is night and day better in terms of sound, build quality and looks. I'm 6'3", so getting in the Supra is a bit of a clown show! 🤪
  14. Replaced mine with a Supra...
  15. Looks like an after thought. I never like I needed a bigger screen in mine!
  16. Mines for sale at Hedge End - you know you want it.
  17. All done and dusted in about 90mins - and typically the weather was fine today as well! Generally a straigtforward operation, although they are not 100% certain how well they bled the system once finished - so have requested I keep an eye on it. The old pump had actually seized completely. (So take note, roughly the same time as your rear wiper starts to seize up you need to go pump shopping!)
  18. It's from Duramat - called "Duratred", quite easy to lay - but it's got some weight to it! Probably took less than an hour to lay that lot.
  19. You can get a valve controller from Etsy that will make a newer car a little louder/deeper below 4000rpm, however they will never have the same bark as the earlier cars. Not a great video, but you get the idea:
  20. Given how crappy the weather is at the moment I have caved in and will be taking it to a local firm who can fit the pump in the dry! (It's a 15min trip, so hopefully won't cook anything!)
  21. Thinking about it logically, they should probably be a service item on the same schedule as the timing belt & main pump.
  22. Diagnostics have identified the following code: P0A05 - which is the inverter coolant pump Not the best news, but it could have been worse! I will do some investigation this evening and see if I can see anything visibly wrong with it, or possibly a duff relay/blown fuse? (Hope springs eternal....)
  23. I've just talked to the local Toyota dealer (4 miles away) and they are willing to plug it in and see if they can get any stored codes from it. Really nice guys, turns out they are a GR specialist so can take the Supra there as well! 🙂
  24. Replaced the battery this afternoon, and whilst it has brought the voltages to within acceptable levels I am still getting the error. Can anyone recommend a code reader that's compatible with the Rx400h/gives techstream level data? Tempted to give it a test drive later to see if I can flag anything else via the real time stream on the current tool.
