  1. Might be worth getting an exhaust valve controller from Etsy as well. The post 2019 cars are fitted with an OPF though, so will never quite have the same volume/drama as the initial run of cars.
  2. Looks great. You'll find in the sports modes that it will consistently use lower gearing and with a sharper throttle response. (In ECO it felt to me as if the throttle mapping reduced the input of 80% of the throttle travel - if you boot it in ECO then I think it wakes up the throttle map, but not the gearing) I never really felt any dynamic changes in handling. (Although mine as a 2022, so there may be further changes/revisions since)
  3. Those prices don't seem right to me? I've seen five figure numbers quoted for the crfp boot lid... (As an example)
  4. Has it been to a Lexus dealership for servicing? I'd be interested to see what they say vis the Lexus corrosion warranty.
  5. Obviously not been garaged and kept for high days and holidays. I suspect the first owner had it and used it as intended, hence the rust covering here and there etc. Nothing there that can't be sorted with a wire brush and some waxoly.
  6. They are in a class of one, which as you have highlighted comes with as many lows as highs. I don't regret the time I had with mine at all.
  7. Exactly, unless it's been left upto the axles in the sea it should be fine! The only thing to bear in mind with the LC vs other cars is the various dissimilar materials and metals that are used in it's construction - in several places there is a sandwhich of steel/aluminium/CFRP etc.
  8. Anything that's bare steel will show signs of corrosion, I had mine coated as much as possible with an inhibitor/barrier in the first few weeks of ownership. Here's some pics of what it should look like new.
  9. I think for the sort of money being asked, it would have been better advert, (both on here and autotrader) if someone had given it a proof read too...
  10. Sorry to say, but that is neither supercar nor bargain. It's lovely, but there is no way you will get that for it.
  11. Lexus / Toyota don't give a **** I'm afraid, they've had our money.
  12. Give Elephant a try - they weren't too bad. There is no way I'd ever want a black box policy, too much to go wrong and too many horror stories.
  13. I'd recommend getting one of the Etsy remote valve controllers. https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1067743897/lexus-lc-500-exhaust-valve-controller?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=LC500+valve+controller&ref=sr_gallery-1-1&cns=1&ret=1&content_source=48085ca0ba16631e6a4690b8b4faf300f05869f5%3A1067743897&search_preloaded_img=1&organic_search_click=1 🙂
  14. From the road, drive or garage? Absolute scum 😞
  15. I'll give you £50 each right now and take them off your hands, think of the saving in petrol... 🤣
  16. Saw a dark silver LC on the A303/A30 yesterday about 6pm heading East - looked the dogs danglies!
  17. Norri Green with a tan interior? 🤩
  18. Not driving a wonderful car to preserve it's value is a bit like not ****ing your girlfriend out of respect for her next boyfriend! 🤪 Admittedly I don't get out in my toys as much as I would like, but that's not out of regard for resale value - more a factor of work and the weather. I don't think LC500 values will plummet in the same way Soarers and LS400's did in the 90s/early 00s, but equally I'm not sure they will be an "investment" car either. They are low-ish volume, but not in the same league as the LFA. The low sales number reflect that for many people Lexus still suffers from badge snobbery rooted in post WW2 thinking, this means the potential audience to buy them in the future will be lower. (I blame the demise of Athena and other similar shops where you could go in and buy a big Ferrari/Porsche/Lamborghini poster to put on your wall aged 11 and then go hunting once you had the money 30 years later!)
  19. That's annoying! Not quite as exclusive as you were lead to believe then, but not sure what they can do about that now as hard to quantify it. Have you outlined any expectations to them vis a resolution?
  20. Rare to see one with the optional Lancer! 🤩
  21. That's a proper solution then, hopefully they will make thar very public knowledge! 🙂
  22. They should be offering a blanket indemnity/insurance for all owners until this is sorted. On the one hand, I get it - criminals are scumbags who think only of themselves. On the other hand... this is not a new vulnerability in the automotive world - so I can only assume Toyota/Lexus have traditionally escaped because the line up hasn't been that desirable for a lot of theives before, so therefore they have literally just accepted the risk at some stage and pushed ahead. This is exactly what I could see happening when I was deciding whether or not to keep my LC, and given just how long it took to get simple stuff like the windscreen trim in order to replace the screen I had serious doubts as to how they would manage general remediation at scale, let alone prompt and high quality repairs to those who had fallen victim to the scum exploiting their baked in vulnerabilities. /End Rant/
  23. I've seen three or four around Yeovilton area, not sure how local they are. Green, white & dark blue hybrid.
