I would say you could definitely make it feel about the same ...... depending on the dampening setting, but i imagine with a very soft dampening setting it could be made alot softer too. Ive got mine pretty stiff but i still dont think its going to be enough.

Thanks mate 👍 cant wait to get to some meet with this thing, has there been any talk of rescheduling the big Lexus meet that was going yo be happening at Gaydon?

Just done a little research on my BC racing coilover spring rates and mine came with 62.200.010 10kg (front) and 62.220.006 6kg (rear). These are pretty soft and i may switch to a slightly stronger spring depending on how i feel about them when driving hard. It would seem that alot run with 12kg front and 10kg rear.

Cheers mate, i think the thought of the end result has kept me going. Atleast it should be ready now before the car shows start up again.

Yeh still chugging away at it, so close to getting it finished but my to do list keeps growing. Everytime i tick something off i seem to add 2 more things 😂

So i have a few small updates i have the reveltronics fuel pressure sensor wired into the AEM ecu, wasnt too hard just had to pic some available input/output/ground. Had to extend the loom slightly to reach into the glove box so nothing major, the tricky bit was getting it setup on the AEM. After having a good look around the tabs and just generally having a play i figured out how to assign the pin to the fuel pressure and voltage channels. 20210205_123254.mp4 I also had another diagnostic tool turn up, its an intake system pressure tester so pretty self explanatory. Very good tool for getting the engine ready for a dyno and ironing out little issues that could potentially stop the tuner doing his job or tuning an engine with an underlying issue. And low and behold i found 2 issues, 1 was from a silicone hose fitting on the intercooler pipework which just needed clamp cranking down and another leak from the throttle gasket. I took the pressure up to 30psi, i probably wont be running as much as that (yet) so i know its atleast good for what i will need. 20210122_124055.mp4 For this ive ordered some neoprene rubber and intend to make my own gasket. More updates to come soon.

Nice, i will be watching with interest. As for the pictures if your using your phone jusy hit the add files button on the reply box where you are typing and select the picture off your device. I will say though its hit and miss weather or not they load without an error message appearing and resizing seems to make no differnece. I have the BC racing coilovers but i would have to have a look at spring rates that they came with. Ive also not really driven it hard yet so cant comment too much on how they perform. Ive got the dampening set quite hard but i think it might need tweeking maybe a little stiffer for my liking. Build quality is spot on and very easy to fit.

Move from IS200 to IS300?
rob_clio172 replied to Shizukesa's topic in Lexus IS200 / Lexus IS300 Club
Great news, get a project thread going and unlock that 2jz full potential -
Very nice and welcome 👍
-
Yes thats the smaller 1 for the 3 bar grill like this.... You need the bigger version i think. Sorry i cant help on the part number. The lexus badge off the same grill will also fit on that as when i took my grill apart the fitment was the exact same, its just the outer part of the badge fits around the bars.

If you put IS300 manual cluster into google it doesnt show that bottom display
-
Ive only seen the speed diaplayed there on the Altezza custer but maybe there is another version? That is identical to my is300 auto cluster.
-
That is an auto cluster, the little display in the bottom right is what shows gear positions. Manual cluster does not have that bit, only the odo display above it. Unless its an Altezza cluster but they normally have Altezza where is says Lexus

Nice and welcome to the club, not many knocking around on here with 2jz-gte conversions or built/turbo converted 2jz-ge. I have a project thread on the go on here with a built 2jz-ge.

Thanks 👍

Ive got BC racing BR series on my IS300 (not sportscross) i love them so far, height and dampening adjustable, come with top mounts and easy to install and set up.
-
Ive seen this before when the junction box in the footwell had water leaking into it. Has the car had a windscreen replaced before? Check in the front foowell carpets for water.

So seeing as my wheel arch roller has come i decided to give it a go. Tried my best to not crack the paint but i think its pretty much impossible. I heated the paint/metal with a heatgun and gently kept adjusting and rolling until the lip was rolled and arch slightly pulled. Only a couple of slight cracks on the edge, prettt hard to see so i will probably have a go and get this cleaned up and painted. Anyway heres a few pics... Image quality seems to have been completely killed by the forum, i tried 😂. Also got my Fuel pressure sensor installed too but still need to pin this into the AEM, pretty easy install, just removed a screw plug on the regulator and used an adapter to fit the sensor.

300-320 at the wheels would feel pretty fruity. I look forward to updates and videos!

BLO Air-S Hand held Car dryer from IODETAIL
rob_clio172 replied to Sled Driver's topic in Lexus General Discussions
Good write up, thanks. Glad its a good bit of kit, i may invest in 1 soon. Is it pretty loud? -
Yeh the dealer experience was good although it was an Audi/VW dealeri got it from so not the usual Lexus standards. I do love black cars, my IS300 is black and like you say it just shows up everything, it needs a good detail. Yeh those blo dryers look good, ive seen people use leaf blowers too. It will need a real good clean once all this snow goes.

Hi, no i travelled to Lincoln to get this, even though im just 10 mins away from Lexus Wolverhampton and 30mins from Lexus Birmingham. Thanks, yeh im looking forward to having another go at it tbh as that moisture really did ruin it. Also looking forward to getting some side by side shots with the turbo IS300!
