  1. Its not always about numbers, a lot of LS owners run these cars because they feel and quite rightly they are doing their bit against this throw away society we now live in. We owners who keep these cars going in good condition are far greener than the Prius brigade and others of similar type so called green cars. The cost in green terms of manufacturing those green cars and also the cost of scrapping them especially the batteries which isn't a problem at present but just think if there are 200+ million cars on the roads in the world which have those Eco batteries which need disposing of, the problem will be worse than getting rid of nuclear waste. Its about time insurance companies demonstrated their green credentials by not scrapping cars that just have light superficial damage. Gen, if you cant get them to repair find out how much they will give you for your car and don't accept the 1st figure they give you also find out how much they will let you buy the car back for. You might find when you do the sums you could be pleasantly surprised, the only draw back with going down this road is they will register your car with the DVLA as a Cat D? Take some pictures of the damage before and after so when it does come to sell your pride and joy you have evidence that the car wasn't cut in two but it really is just superficial. Good luck with which ever route you take. Mike.

  3. Hi Marshall and welcome to the LOC, we are a friendly bunch and some of us even know how to pull them to bits and put them back together again, with of course the one bolt and washer left over. What a great looking Lexus. We recommend you spend a couple of mins looking over the rules of the LOC, we will be asking questions later. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/terms-conditions/ Regards Mike

  9. Well that's a pretty good outcome. Must have taken some guts to come round and admit it was him. Mike.
  10. Also Google Calor gas dealers as they often have LPG, they come up as "non forecourt sales" Mike.

  12. Do you mean other petrol station brands? if so only when I am away from home but its never a problem. Its amazing how quickly you pick up knowledge as to where you can fill up because I don't visit that many places far from home that I don't visit on a regular basis.
  13. That looks so cool. I love the interior and colour. Mike
  14. Simon I am with you all the way, Estate agents/Car salespeople no difference. Mike.
  15. Let us know if your camera picks anything up.
  16. Dont forget these faceless people know nothing really about cars. They are there because they have mates in high places.
  17. Can we keep to the main subject please LPG. If you want to discuss E85 please start another thread.
  18. The whole area is swamped by second hand car dealers and if Watchdog set up some offices there they would be spoilt for choice as to which one they filmed. As is always the case there may well be one or two decent dealers there but they are overtaken by those that aren't.

  20. Months. The other reason is where they are being sold, only desperate and people who don't know the history of these dealers along the Bath Road throw their money away there.
  21. My info comes from the village garage that has serviced mine and the families cars for years. He showed me some years ago the sort of thing they get from the DVLA and none of it came to fruition.
  22. No, I get mine from a Color Gas dealer in the village near to me and have done for years.

  24. You have a few Calor Gas suppliers that also supply LPG in and around Eastbourne, have you tried those?
  25. I don't mind a little inconvenience when I am saving the sorts of money you do running on LPG. If I go somewhere I haven't been before and I know I will need to refill the LPG, I spend 5 mins having a look on the internet to see what there is around. 5mins? I don't mind sacrificing that.
