  1. Hi Daniel and welcome to the LOC, we are a friendly bunch and some of us even know how to pull them to bits and put them back together again, with of course the one bolt and washer left over. We recommend you spend a couple of mins looking over the rules of the LOC, we will be asking questions later. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/terms-conditions/ Regards Mike

  10. I know there could be dozens of reasons why its misfiring but I had the same trouble with mine and it turned out to be an Oxygen sensor on Bank 2 I had a lot of other problems but that was the cause of all my heartache. Mike.
  11. I have looked at trying to clean the thread up but it appears that all the offending posts have been taken off but its fairly obvious what the posts were and to take any more posts away would not do anything positive. Rayann has apologised for the posts and as it looks like everyone has now had their say I have locked the thread. Mike.
  12. I watched it and thought I was in Play School, wont bother again, they also had some other related program Top Gear Extra which was of a lower level of IQ than the actual program. BBC, I would just give up. I dont know how much the BBC paid those so called presenters but every penny was wasted and they should go to court and get every penny back for us License Payers. Mike.
  13. Hi Temp and welcome to the LOC, we are a friendly bunch and some of us even know how to pull them to bits and put them back together again, with of course the one bolt and washer left over. I shall certainly give the rattle Buster a go if I ever get one in my LS but the Tinnitus looks good and worth investigating. 16. I am sorry Rob I cant help you with that one. For me its Profess 280 mile round trip but once I find someone I stay with them no matter where they are. Whoever you eventually get to do the installation insist on contacting past customers and examples of their work, photos are not acceptable as they can be taken from anywhere on the internet, if you dont check them out thoroughly just send me the money you were going to waste on the installation it will save you alot of trouble and heartache. Mike.
  17. Hi Rob. I have been running the family cars on LPG for the past 17+ years and never had a problem with any of them. My LS400 was converted 6 years ago and apart from the annual service which is done over the internet, would only need to go to Profess if there was a problem that would need hands on attention but that's never been required. I have done around 50,000 miles and she has never missed a beat on LPG. LPG is much kinder on your engine as it burns at a lower temp and doesn't have the contaminants that petrol has.
  18. Very difficult just looking at pictures as to what condition the car is really is in but if that NS front wheel is anything to go by I would be very wary. Mike.

  20. I have run on LPG for the past 17+ years and had all my cars converted and never had a lubrication system fitted on any of them. If it runs on Unleaded then LPG will not do any damage to your engine. LPG also has far fewer contaminates to hurt your engine over petrol. LPG also burns at a lower temperature to petrol. You will not regret it just be sure you can trust 100% the people who are going to do the conversion. If you have any doubts about them stop and go somewhere else. If your buying a car already converted BE VERY CAREFUL and check first that there is no smell of gas inside or outside the car, if you do smell gas don't take any excuses just walk away and quickly as you are looking at a bomb. Next make sure that they have the LPG certificate for the car if not walk away. After that look at the conversion and satisfy yourself that it looks like a professional installation. Finally check with your insurance company that they will accept your car being converted if not you will have to find one that will, its getting rarer that they wont accept you but always best to ask first. Profess in South Wales have done my last two conversion at £1400 which has now dropped to £1200 inc VAT and the bonus of using them is they will do it in a day and lend you a car for the day. I have never seen anyone post anywhere they have had a problem after using them. Both our cars haven't missed a beat. Before that I used a company called Duelfuel in Woking Surrey they always wanted a week and wanted nearly £3K to convert the Lexus which is why I started looking round for a better deal. £1200 and Car loan for the day, its a no brainer. If you pay someone ten grand to have a system fitted if they do a bad job you have wasted your money. Other suppliers and installers do not like sorting out other peoples problem so your stuck with it. Finally ignore anything UKLPG have to say, they are just a self appointed sheriff who like you to think they are a government associated body that over sees the LPG industry and its complete rubbish. This also goes for those that say they are affiliated to UKLPG. Good luck with whatever you decide. Mike

  22. Posted by piasek on a duplicated thread. Place car on leveled ground. Make sure thet gaps between wheel and wheels arches on each side are pretty much the same. Rear will seat slightly lower than front. Change suspension setting to "high" and listen for compressor to kick in. It will take up to 2 minutes to pump up. Then change to normal setting again and check the gaps. Do it 2 or 3 times. If you have it then connect Techstream to check there is no errors in suspension controller. Take your time when viewing the car, make a list of things to check as there is a lot to check in LS. It took me about hour before I was happy with everything and asked for test drive. Good luck.
  23. Leave it. As the others have said if he cant be bothered to find things out why should you travel all that way to give them your had earnt money. There is always another one and then maybe people like him will get some manners.
  24. Hi John. Ins companies, some insist upon a certificate but this isn't a problem ask if they want you to take it to a local co your happy with and they inspect the system and if OK they will give you a cert. Charge from about £25+ Timing belt shouldn't make any difference but most Lexus garages will turn you down with it on. Good luck and happy motoring. Mike.
