  1. I can only reiterate what they told me and what I read in the MOT manual they hold but tomorrow just for you I will ring my garage in the morning and ask them for you, I will also ask them why its not mentioned on the government website.
  2. Well done you. You wont regret it. Let us know how you go with the repairs.
  3. Two great things in one day, she passed her MOT and the postman arrived with my leather and wood steering wheel which I bought from Ebay this week for the princely sum of £99.
  4. I can only tell you what they told me and what I read in the MOT manual they hold.
  5. Have PMd you, check your messages.
  6. Lexie went in for her MOT today and passed with one advisory, Front suspension has slight play in a lower suspension ball joint offside. Only driven 7000 since the last test. Something else I learned was that if the car comes in running on LPG then it doesn't have to have the emissions test. Well here's to another year of the best motoring around.
  7. Even if the accident isn't your fault if you are only insured for TPFT you are still not covered you have to claim from the other parties insurance company. This you can do yourself or employ a legal company to work on your behalf.
  8. "If Lexus have a policy not to service engines that are converted to LPG the reasons are simple, they did'nt design the engine to run on LPG so they have no expertise in what is happening to the engine during its operating cycle running on LPG" I checked with Lexus in Reading a couple of years back and the reason they gave for this is that they are concerned that after servicing should the car have any problems with the LPG system they would be held responsible for the problems and they just dont want that hassle. I could quite understand their position and thought it was fair and reasonable.
  9. What feedback he has is fiddled by him by using another account.
  10. As above. I cant add a screen shot as it would show everyone your email address. Mike.
  11. That Mazda he is still trying to sell is the same one he was taken to court over in April 2016 and received a £3000 fine and a criminal record. Its worth noting that his real name is Umar Ijaz.
  12. They should ban the "Excess" as you are meant to be insured against any damage you cause to another persons property and that is the law, however if you have £750/£1000 excess on your policy and when it comes to someone finding themselves with a car you damaged and you have'nt got two pennies to rub together what use is insurance because to keep your no claims bonus you have to recover your uninsured losses from the person with a huge excess and not a brass farthing to pay you with. No point in taking them to court as even courts cant get blood out of a stone. Uninsured losses means the other person to blame has no insurance for the first £750/£1000.
  13. You lucky devil. Great car and a great place to live. Enjoy and welcome to the club, next time I am down your way I will look out for you. Mike.
  14. He was done last year for a sizeable amount in the courts. I guarantee none of the work needed has been addressed by him. Steer clear. http://www.expressandstar.com/news/2016/04/16/rogue-car-dealer-hit-with-fine-over-unsafe-mazda-mx5-he-sold-on-ebay/?utm_source=LexusOwnersClubUK&utm_medium=ForumLinks
  15. Unless you can get it for a really good price leave it, you have too many questions in your mind as to why you shouldn't buy it.
  16. What a lovely place to sit and while away the hours.
  17. Hi Dave. If you click on your forum ID that should take you to your profile go to the bottom of the page and you will see your email on the left, high light with cursor and change your email. Mike.
  18. As I have said before I will stick with a recognised body of experts Go LPG Research that LPG burning hotter than petrol is nothing more than a myth. http://www.go-lpg.co.uk/VSR.html
  19. Science fact states that LPG has only 85% of the calorific value of the same amount of petrol, so it is impossible for it to create more heat. It can only make 85% as much. You cant argue against scientific fact.
  20. Perhaps you could point me towards a web site which can back your facts up.
  21. Hi Dave will get back to you later today. Mike.
  22. They obviously didn't know what they were talking about. Valve regression is something I have never come across as the fault of running on LPG. The only cases I know of had troubles long before they were converted and the people thought that converting would solve their problems.
  23. Hi Matthew and welcome to the LOC. We are a friendly bunch so please don’t hold back asking questions big or small should you have any problems with your car. We always welcome ideas on how to overcome problems with our cars but as they are the finest cars in the universe they don’t go wrong that often. We always love to see pictures of your cars inside and out so don't be shy. Happy Lexus Motoring. Mike. Bluesman.
  24. Carry on John running the oil you have been using. I have had all my cars over the last 17 years run on LPG and have only ever used manufacturers advice as far as what engine oils to use.. Mike.
