Insurance companies love them and its a cast iron guarantee if its not your fault you have the recorded accident which shows it wasn't your fault. Some insurance companies will pay you should your dash cam pick up someone else's accident. As for Youtube seen one seen them all.

"It could indeed be smell related. I once recruited a lady who used to wear a perfume called Opium. Within minutes of her coming into the office, I would feel nauseous and get severe headaches. It got so bad that I had to mention it to her. She stopped wearing this particular perfume in the office and the situation resolved itself" I bet it was a perfume called "Estee Lauder Youth-Dew" It always made me go dizzy and always made me sick. I went out with a very nice young lady who insisted on wearing the stuff, unlike you I didn't have the guts to ask her not to wear it so I had to end the relationship. It was dreadful stuff. If they had used that in wars instead of using gas they would have won the war but would not be vilified for killing thousands of troops and civilians. It still has the same effect on me today.

Volkswagen Phaeton (W12) That is one car I would love to spend a day with to see if it comes up to my LS standard.

I wondered how long it would be before UKLPGs name came up. They are nothing but a private company who would like you to think they are a governing body but they are not. They expect you to pay them if you are an LPG company to try and give you an air of authority that you are government authorised LPG installer. I have heard more horror stories which include their so called members than those that are independent and work via word of mouth. The scheme I posted about for the gas in your house makes it a criminal act to touch gas appliances unless you are registered with the government Gas safe registered scheme and the same should apply to LPG.

Its a shame there are so many cowboys in the LPG industry. The sooner LPG companies have to be Government registered as the home gas engineers have to be then things wont get any better. When its done properly its an absolute dream but when its not its nightmare time. I hope you manage to get it sorted quickly. Mike.

The wifes Ford Fiesta went up £70 I shall be looking for a different insurance co.

When it comes to getting a payout for your car you have to negotiate and be as tough as they are with you, dont forget they do it for a living and most people give up at the first fence. You wont get the decision you want unless you are prepared to do battle with them but if you do you will certainly end up with more than most people would have got. .

My village garage mechanic has been laid on a bed of nails and flogged, strange thing is he had a smile on his face so I may well not have punished him.

This is an old thread going back to last year, I suspect the car is not for sale anymore.

Here we go, first of all I was wrong but only in as much that I spread misinformation that I was told and saw regarding the emissions tests on LPG cars. The one thing my garage and I didn't do was read further down the page where it says that this only applies to Dual Fuel cars like Toyota Prius. My car was to old to be in the Prius catagory but had I presented a Prius they would have asked me which fuel did I drive on too the MOT and had I answered LPG they wouldn't do an Emissions test. Regarding the DVLA MOT website my garage did say that it can take ages for updates to go live. I apologise for spreading wrong information that I was told. Mike.

Why would my little village garage who has been servicing mine my wifes and childrens cars for the last 32 years lie and put himself in a position that could get him into serious trouble where the DVLA are concerned?
