To have the names of services permantly on the LOC would definately get those services who pay for the privilege upset. To recommend a certain garage etc is OK but anything more than that would be considered advertising. -
Hi Steve and welcome to the LOC. We are a friendly bunch so please don’t hold back asking questions big or small should you have any problems with your car. We always welcome ideas on how to overcome problems with our cars but as they are the finest cars in the universe they don’t go wrong that often. I had a Mercedes S class 280 W reg W126 and it was the greatest car I ever had until I found my LS400 and fell in love in the same way I had done with the Mercedes all those years before. Sadly unlike Lexus the reliability these days on Mercedes is dreadful. I will stay with Lexus now. Happy Lexus motoring

I'm happy hes leaving as he might have time to sort my car when needed as he only charges for parts. We used to see Edd around lots in Hartley Wintney especially his motorized sofa. I probably wont bother with the new series as Edd I felt was the program.

I have removed your duplicate thread. -
When I suffered similar problems of a misfire with my LS400 it was one of the engines oxygen sensors and eventually the cat eventually failed with the inner core of the cat blocking the exhaust gases to exit the gas. Cat replaced together with an oxygen sensor all back to normal. Hope this helps.

Here we go boys a full and frank answer from Le Tunnel. Thank you for your email, we hope that the answer below will be helpful. We do not accept any vehicles that are fitted with LPG or dual fuel tanks and there are no plans in the near future to change this policy. This decision is made because of the different points of origin of LPG vehicles (northern / southern countries have differences in the standards applied to LPG cars, hence different level of safety offered by these cars); some LPG tanks are fitted at a later stage, either by a garage or by individuals, hence the impossibility to ensure that all systems are fitted to a proper standard. The last point is that the tunnel is a more confined space than the open air and specific conditions are hence obviously applicable, in the same way as is underground parking areas where LPG cars are usually not allowed. The main difference between LPG cylinders and LPG propulsion tanks is that cylinders can be turned off and isolated whilst tanks cannot. In addition, whilst turning off the cylinders, our staff has an opportunity to check the type of cylinder and ensure it is a proper cylinder straight from the manufacture. This is not the case with propulsion systems, as we cannot open the bonnets and easily check on the standard of manufacturing of an LPG tank. We base our conclusions on the advice of expert well recognised companies. We put the safety of our customers first, and any area where an appropriate level of safety cannot be guaranteed is covered by restrictions in our safety policy. All companies have safety policies, and this is ours. We are a responsible Company taking responsible measures to ensure the safety of our customers. As a conclusion, when any decision has been reached about a change to the LPG policy, it will be made public, and customers will thus be informed. Campervans and other recreational vehicles which have LPG containers (as opposed to gas bottles) to power domestic services e.g. heating and refrigeration are accepted on the condition that the tanks are no more than 80% full and will be subject to inspection. Gas cylinders for cooking purposes may be carried as long as the bottle is no larger than 50kg, max. cylinder size 47kg. Kind regards Sales Support Team Eurotunnel Le Shuttle

Water-pump leaking

Nice looking car. Have you got some interior shots? -
I had mine fitted by AA Windscreens who used to be one of the big firms the AA took over and 10 months later I had to call them back as I had a leak in the top of the screen, during that time they had been taken over again and didn't want to know the bodges of the previous lot but after gently talking to them and letting them know I wasn't going to give up she eventually admitted they had to do the work, two guys came out to fix it. They said they were snowed under with recall work from the old company. Job done no leaks happy owner.

Don't forget If you buy goods online from outside the EU for delivery to the UK, you'll have to pay Customs Duty (if over £120 value) and Import VAT (if over £18) on top of the purchase price (including duties), though Customs Duty is waived if the amount of the calculated duty payable is £7 or less. The figure of £120 also includes packing charges to make the final price. -
Welcome back to the LOC. Great looking GS, love the interior. Enjoy.
