  3. Let's hope it's not one very dodgy dealer (Lexuschap + other names of a similar nature) as you have probably been had. Dude.
  4. Where did you buy the car from? As for the smoke? are you sure it isn't just steam from the condensation the builds up in the exhaust system overnight especially in this cold weather we've been having?
  5. I have used Profess in south Wales along with many other LOC members. I live near Reading so its quite a trek but they are well worth it. They are brilliant.

  8. I have locked this as its sinking to the depths of tit for tat insults. We are meant to be adults so let's try and act like adults. Its Christmas time let's see some Christmas cheer and be nice to each other. Remember we are all allowed our opinion.

  11. Come on peeps. We all have a right to our opinions without people being nasty to each other. Before you post something ask yourself one question would I say this to them face to face? Let's all get into the Christmas spirit, not while driving of course, and have a little good will to all.
  12. Frogeye Sprite, great little car which by today standards weren't much better than some of the karts we used to make out of orange boxes. I loved my Frogeye I wish I still had it.
  13. Hi Andrew and welcome to the LOC. We are a friendly bunch so please don’t hold back asking questions big or small should you have any problems with your car. We always welcome ideas on how to overcome problems with our cars but as they are the finest cars in the universe they don’t go wrong that often. We always love to see pictures of your cars inside and out so don't be shy. Happy Lexus Motoring. Mike.
  14. No Problem fitting car seats in the LS. I have 4 Grandchildren and all their seats fit into mine (not all at once) without any problems.
  15. "Oh, and, Mike.....in my pedant mode; it's 'job's a good 'un'." Sorry about that Chris I am dislexus.
  16. I have no idea how its wired as it was there when I bought the car 8 years ago. Mine doesn't switch off at all but now I know what given me grief all these years I just take it out of the cradle. Jobs a gooden.
  17. I have been reluctant to post before this as I wanted to make sure that the car could go through as many different weather conditions and keep a record of if the car starts or the battery is flat again. Once the cold weather arrived 6 to 8 weeks ago I was experiencing flat batteries on most cold days, the battery is 9 months old. I checked the car that there were no lights left on once the car was all locked up and that was OK. Then I thought hows about taking the phone completely off its cradle as I never turn it off and hey presto no more flat batteries. Even on the coldest mornings the starter motor spins nice and fast and away we go. So if you have a Nokia phone cradle and you suffer flat batteries give it a go.

  19. Some people are very economical with the truth which can have a bearing on what they are quoted, this also can often have huge consequences later down the road once the insurance company find out. Very difficult these days to lie to insurance companies.
  20. I can understand that these guys pour a whole bunch of money at the cars they love but then, after all that money and hard graft they drive them and the cars are falling to pieces as they drag them along the road. Whats the point?
  21. They must be on drugs, wheres the point of it?
