A bit late with the update. Got her back looking all nice once again. I have to get a couple of bonnet hinges as one of them is bent but not by much. So we are all happy once again. Just one thing, I have been inundated by phone calls from ambulance chasers wanting my wife to sue me for injuries as they say there is £3000 that has already been set aside for her. I just tell them to send it to me.

Going this route is all well and good as long as he has money, if you go through the legal route and then find out he hasn't got a brass farthing you've just thrown good money after bad and you will be in an even worse position. That said I am so sorry your pride and joy has been so badly injured. My own LS400 is in having her body work sorted after being assaulted by a Land Rover. I am hoping to get her back today.

Your correct. It was the last colour I would have wanted when I was looking for a LS 400 but everything else was so right with the car it would have been stupid to pass it by, now I have come to love the colour, I call it Goodwood Green.

I agree with Malc. The most reliable and the finest car I have ever known. I have owned mine for 10 years and she has only ever gone wrong once by breaking down when one of the oxygen sensors decided it had had enough. Enjoy.

Got another bonnet today and its in the correct colour jade green. Jackpot. Need to keep my eyes open for a front bumper and I think we can put her all back together again.

Thanks boys for all your kind words. It looks worse than it is. The worst is the bonnet needs replacing as well as the front bumper. Both wings are OK as well as the grill. Headlights are OK. The cross member the bonnet catch sits on needs some sympathetic hammering to push it back. As others have said the insurance co want to write it off but they don't have any chance. I have sourced all the parts apart from the front bumper. The guy I am getting all the parts off says he is having a black one in in about a months time but I will keep hunting for a green one to save on a respray. Cant wait to get going now and get her back to her fine looking body again. Thanks again chaps.

My Lexie LS400 got assaulted by a Land Rover. He had only had it a week, what a shame. Will sort a pic.

Can anyone recommend paint sprayers as my bonnet has had to be replaced and I have got a silver one but it needs spraying to Imperial Jade Mica. Hampshire/Surrey/Berkshire borders. Mike.

You don't need to be a mug, the £15K is the starting point for negotiations to start. On anything in the market every now and then a special comes up for which there are no price guides to tell you what its worth. Its worth what anyone will give you for it on any given day. I doubt they will get the £15k but if I was to win the lottery this week I would start around £10k and see where it goes. I doubt there is another one out there with such low mileage so this makes this car very special and it will require a special amount of money to buy it.

I use Falkens on my LS400 and have always been very satisfied with them. Sad they stopped making them, have to look into the Turkey outlet.
