  1. Hes dropped the price by £250. Must be getting desperate. Have you got a link to his FB page?
  2. Don't waste your hard earnt money. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/99-T-LEXUS-LS400-MK4-162K-NEAR-FSH-CLEAN-BODY-LONG-MOT-DRIVES-WELL-GS-430-SC-IS/303451596909?hash=item46a71fe86d:g:VIYAAOSw2kleLcwM
  3. The original LS400 Razor61 is in Candy Apple Red which looks fantastic on Stratocaster Guitars but not an LS400.
  4. I can give Dualfuel in Woking a thumbs up apart from the price they charge. I had one Merc 2 litre estate car and it cost me around £3K from them. That was over 15 years ago I have since found another company in South Wales who will do the conversion in a day for around £1K called Profess. They have converted loads of Lexus various models and all with out any problems. They will lend you a car for the day while they do the work. I have never had any problem with any LPG system fitted by either company. Profess in South Wales are a very helpful and friendly company.
  5. Happy Christmas to all the members of the LOC and their families.
  6. I have let trading standards know about that as he cant sell it as a private person.
  7. Bump this up as no one can see it so far down the list.
  8. Yesterday the central locking, the moving steering column, the door locks switch in the armrest and alarm system all u/s However despite the above she started OK and went on a 25 mile drive with 3 stops which meant parking the car and manually locking the doors which included going to each door to switch the door lock button. Went to go out with her today inserted ignition key and it was as though the battery wasn't connected at all, not even a flicker of life anywhere on the car. Got the jump leads out and at first nothing then I saw a small spark on the negative terminal as we made sure there was contact and everything came back to normal, everything was working, I had checked all the terminals to make sure there was a decent contact for them on the battery so its a mystery. Any ideas??
  9. Well spotted, he needs to be closely watched and reported to trading standards when you think there is anything fishy. I will pass this over to them tomorrow.
  10. They are selling a Range Rover for around £57K and that has just 4 miserable pictures.
  11. What a damn cheek these insurance companies have. Its your property to decide what to do with not them. They will register it as a Cat d car but then if your keeping the car for some time its not going to bother you. Good luck with it.
  12. 1st thing to do is get yourself a dash cam front and rear, there is no argument then.
  13. Even once you have cleared funds if the buyer comes up with some lame excuse they will still turn to your account and take the money out. Only ever take cash for cars.
  14. I cant believe that.
  15. Hi Janey Trust you are keeping well. I didn't miss read the original post calling an LOC member  " I left the MB board after many years because of sarky opinionated idiots " which indirectly he did. I have hidden the post discussing the actions of a mod in the open forum and not with me directly privately. I still say he insulted an LOC member. Mike

  16. I am paying 49p per litre at the moment which is a lot less than 1/2 price of petrol.
  17. Tell the insurance company you want the car back, they will tell you how much they would want the car from you and then get her repaired yourself. I have just done this with my LS400 for the second time, they will however register your car as a Schedule D cat but take some pictures of the cars damage so that in the future you can show just how little the damage was. These insurance companies from writing off cars like this all the time, there is no safety reason for this harsh behavior.
  18. 16 years on LPG a mixture of cars for myself and the wife last 11 years in my well loved LS400 and in all that time I have never had any problem with any of the cars (Mercedes, Volvo, Vauxhall, Ford, Nissan) two of the cars I still know and they are still happily running around on LPG.
  19. Welcome to the LOC, I hope you get lots of fun and info from the forum.
  20. You need to have a good look around before you settle for the best one of your choice, I would be very surprised that you will find it on the first outing. To get value for money its not a good thing to look at a car knowing that you must get one before Monday for example. I hope you do find the holy grail of Lexus cars as quick as possible and you can then enjoy smile after smile. Good luck.
  21. I took her down a lane where they had just walked 200 cows down for milking and she now looks as though I have been rallying. I have hidden her until I can get her nicely washed. She hates looking as though shes been dragged through a hedge backwards.
  22. Just unbelievable.
