It has arrived although their van tracker showed the van 20 miles away.

Meanwhile back in parcel delivery misery, it hasn't turned up despite being told and promised I would get it at 9am. There tracking system shows the van 2 mins from my house and its been there since I first looked at 9.15 am it was still there at 6.30 pm, but we have looked and there ain't no parcel-farce van there, they have taken down their tracking page now, wonder why? They are often the most expensive parcels service we have in the UK and they are the most useless. Don't worry Stuart I quite like seeing a post take on a life of its own.

I didn't dare do that, they were so hot on motorists. Our police aren't allowed to hide but over there they hide behind anything and you don't know you have done anything wrong until you see the lights flashing and a quick burst on the siren. 55mph was the max in those days I don't know what it is these days but 55 and in many places 45 was dangerously boring.

I used to travel to the States, Chicago on a regular basis in the 70s-80s and was a great fan of the Rockford files, well we only had a couple of TV channels in those days. Yes its that time of year when my insurance co contacts me to tell me how much they would like for the following year. I have been with Geoffrey Insurance Co for around 5 years and the premium has bumbled along around the £200 but this year I was taken back when I found the new premium which they hide in these little booklets that lots of insurance company use. When it comes to the price I couldn't believe it £700!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! £700 yup I rang them to see if they had had a computer problem she thought I was rude for saying what I thought about it, no swearing or bad language was used just shock and surprise that it had gone up so much. Well there's only one thing to do and that's "Go Compare" it took just a couple of minutes up popped a figure from an insurance company called Lancaster Insurance had the magic figure of £167 price shown on the web is what I paid. So, yes please only keep you a couple of minutes ,40 mins later we had finished. I just cant see the point of going through on line answering all the questions and then having to go through all of them again. Thank goodness that's over for another year.

Well its made no further progress so we will see what we get on Monday. Quickest I have ever received anything from the States was 60 hrs, I was gobsmacked. Further misery, had to go to the vets to pick up tablets for our border collie who suffers from fits. They had a strange thing going on so that unless it was a matter of life and death owners will not come face to face with the medical staff, you ring them when you have got there, well that's enough of the background, their car parks were full and of course turning my LS around was going to be challenging but we were doing OK until I forgot that they have a very high kerb and it loves nothing better than rip your bumpers off. The search is on. If anyone knows of any one point them in my direction please.

Yes I have dealt with those when I have imported guitars from the States. Just have to be patient, like Howard its as well they are not urgent.

Thanks for the heads up on scam emails, there seems since the lock down loads of them. Nothing any further except that the dhl email I have got is almost a scammer, wants you to ring this number costing a squllion £s per second.

I have never been in this position ever and I have imported guitars and parts for them from all over the world yet this morning I received an Email from Rock autos saying there could be a delivery problem as customs was holding them. We are both sat here waiting for the front door to be kicked in and being yelled at.

Its a shame I have no pictures of the beast but then taking pictures was not as easy as it is today.

There is always the guys in Brighton who are always recommend in Grove Road Brighton I think they are call Grove motors.

I used to have one when they first came out W reg and it was one of 25 sorted by TWR Tom Walkinshaw Racing, in black and gold. The car was great certainly not anywhere near super car speed but the one thing I hated more than anything else was being stared at every where you went. I gave it to the wife and she loved the car hated the attention she got.

Cant get any details on its MOT history, keeps saying wrong details. Update in the above managed to get the MOT details and its record is very good. Still be very careful definitely "Caveat Emptor"
