  1. Put the name in the LOC search engine Mike.
  2. How have these cars managed to run on Unleaded petrol for so long. The valve seats need to be hardened to be able to use it. If what you say is true then you should have been using only Leaded petrol or put an additive in with the petrol each time you put unleaded petrol in. As for the tank. There are no laws that insist your systems are checked periodically, they have been talking for the last 4 years about bringing in a safety check when the MOT takes place but it has never happened. So the answer is no, no periodic checks are needed.
  3. Ever heard of Lexuschap? You have described him to a T.
  4. I saw that and have never ever heard of that before unless someone has damaged it and they take some damaging, they are not like a flimsy petrol tank. Too many pub LPG professors who don't know the first thing about LPG and just end up spreading a load of bovine excrement. Mike. Mike been trying to PM you but cannot send message, could you check to see if your inbox is full please? Hi Steve, there were only 6 messages in their and have cleared them so try now, if not let me know and I will send you my email. Mike
  5. Nice looking car shame about the wheels (I am old) only 88K has to be worth a visit. Mike
  6. Look and learn all those Wallys that stick half a dozen words all of which are miss spelt and an upside down fuzzy picture of a car that's a different colour to one hes actually selling but looks almost the same. They say you cant have more than 100% but Jim Marshall made amps that went to 11 and this guy has gone to 101% for all the effort put into that advert and all the pictures. I hope he gets what hes asking for it or near as we all benefit from cars like this being sold as it ups the value of our cars thats how the market sets itself. Mike

  8. I see its been relisted. I read through the details and I came across........... Just had new petrol tank New petrol pump New fuel line Why would the car need these replaced at such a young age? Mike
  9. Very smart looking car. Love the colour. Mike
  10. Don't waste another petrol mile get LPGd as quick as poss. Its nicer on your engine as it doesn't have the pollutants that petrol has and its even nicer on the environment because its almost fresh air that comes out of the exhaust and finally its really really really nice on your wallet. Mike.
  11. I should have said that the additive should go in with the petrol my mistake. I have run cars on LPG for over 16 years and I have never on any of those cars ever had a Flashlube system fitted. I still know of 3 of the cars all of which have got galactic LPG mileage on. Modern engines all have hardened valve seats so there is no need for them this includes the 430. If you have burnt out valves then its because of another problem with the heads and not the fuel that's being used. Anyone that sells you a Flashlube system these days is taking you for a mug. Mike
  12. If what you say is true then all 430 owners should be putting in a lead additive because the valve seatings are to soft. I don't know of any 430 owner that has to do that. The Flashlube is as outdated as as the horse and cart. Mike
  13. Actually when you fill the form in online - it says "how many claims have you had in the past 3 years (5 years for some companies)?" Therefore, claims are 0 so you arent lying to them at all The ones that I have been on just recently ask for Accidents. Mike Fair enough, just making sure. So if they ask for accidents you have to disclose it? But if they ask for claims then you dont? I was just wondering, if you get in a slight bumper scrape with another car and pay for their car damage in cash, how would the insurance company know if you had a scrape in the first place? You could go on and on and on and in the end up with so many different parameters and variables you know what is what and its up to you to answer honestly. Mike

  15. I think there is a problem with converting an LS460 and it has something to do with the Engine Management System. Mike
  16. Sorry to hear your suffering, try this link http://www.do-it-yourself-joint-pain-relief.com/sciatica-pain-relief.html Mike
  17. I hate the Land Rovers with a passion. In my younger years I had a part time job with a Garage in Ickenham Middlesex which was right outside the USAF West Rusilip and they had a contract to take all abandoned American (something to do with no import duty being paid an them) cars up to USAF Mildenhall Suffolk a journey of 90 miles, they were then flown back to the States. I used to hook up these 2 ton+ monsters onto the back of just a normal Land Rover which didnt even have a proper metal cab but just a canvas cover over the top. There was no heater and very little steering as these huge beasts were so heavy it used to lift the front of LR off the ground, even though they had filled the front bumper with lead and ingots of lead strapped into the engine bay, spare wheel strapped to the bonnet. My max speed was 20 mph and that was pushing it. After 7/8 hours I would arrive absolutely frozen in the winter time. The Americans were always very hospitable and always made sure I was well fed in their little piece of America on English soil. That was the only thing that made the drive worth going for because you only saw this part of America in films. They had all their Burger and Chicken joints just as if you were in the States but all to soon the journey home would rear its ugly head but it only used to take a few hours to get home. Ten shillings I used to get to drive that awful piece of garbage, I have never liked them since. Mike
  18. Maybe I need to have my head examined. Why? all sounds perfectly normal and sane to me. Mike.
  19. Hi Beejay, When I saw the Lexus struggling to get up the incline that was the first thing I thought, different tyres and you can bet your bottom dollar you are right. There was no way they wanted to see the Range Rover beaten. Mike
  20. Pepe, you will regret "downsizing" the car. Downsizing only applies to houses and the wife (its just a joke, the wife bit) What a beautiful car you have. Mike
  21. The CRINGE factor between the two of them is now off the scale, even recording the program and watch with lots of fast forward and the sound off doesn't really help. Great shame because the cars are great. Mike.
  22. Brilliant news. Miles of smiles to come. Mike
  23. I am pleased you are keeping her after all that work you had done getting her wrapped you should enjoy her. Cheers Mike
  24. Where are the RSPCC (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Cars) when you need them? Mike
