  1. I cant get on with that front. Mike.
  2. This is the one I bought. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HD-1080P-In-Car-Vehicle-Dual-Lens-Dashboard-Camera-Video-Recorder-DVR-CAM-/351035675883?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item51bb5b54eb I thought that the screen would be to small but its not something you worry about as you don't use it. If you need to see what it has recorded you just take out the Storage TF card up to 32GB, SD card is not included and pop it in your lap top or desk top PC and review the files. It records in 5 min section. I have mine set on HD and you will be blown away at the quality this little camera can do. Mike
  3. You might think investing in a camera which watches your front and rear. I paid just £36 for mine on you know where so there can be no arguments as to who did what to who as its there on camera. All you would have had to do is check the video and pick up the reg number give it to your insurance co or trace it yourself through DVLA and hey presto the party to blame is held responsible. As a final thought you could also have reported it to the police with the film they could have done him for not stopping after an accident. Mike.
  4. Beautiful. Countries best Fish & Chip shop in the country Olivers. I am just up the road in Heckfield. Will keep a look out for you. Regards Mike.
  5. Welcome to both forum and the Lexus experience. Mike.
  6. I only cover around 5 to 6 thousand miles a year and passing the emission test had never been a problem. Mike
  7. Welcome to both forum and the Lexus experience. Mike.
  8. Whats the small village called? Mike.
  9. Is it me or is the inside of the car especially the white leather filthy, not what I would expect form a car with only 21K on the clock? Mike
  10. Jodie Kid, Guy Martin & Philip Gelnister, according to one of the news agencies is going to be the Dream Team for Top Gear. So for me there's not much change in the presenters as like the previous presenters I don't like any of them. Record just fast forward normally take about 10 mins to watch a 60 min program. Mike.
  11. BECAUSE THE BBC IS ONLY INTERESTED IN RATINGS AND IT IS SO EASY TO SPEND SOMEONE ELSE`S MONEY (YOURS AND MINE!) Regards John My understanding is that Top Gear has been a profitable franchise for the BBC, which means that it's been money well spent. Perhaps you'd prefer them not to take any notice of how many people watch the programmes and spend as little as possible on them? Doesn't sound like it would be very entertaining though... The BBC may well have a profitable product with Top Gear but they should have looked after it a little better and seen that there was a monster in their midst and sorted it long before now. There are many good dramas that are on for 6 to 8 weeks runs but often after 6 or so series, sometimes more sometimes left they are knocked on the head mainly because the actors involved want to move on so as not to get stereo typed. There have been changes of presenting staff in the past and it was long overdue for Top Gear. Ratings. The BBC are not in a ratings war with independent companies its remit is entirely different where quality of content is far more important. So there is no argument there. It would be interesting to know how many LOC members watch James May and the Hamsters programs which they have made independently of Top Gear and JC. Mike.
  12. BECAUSE THE BBC IS ONLY INTERESTED IN RATINGS AND IT IS SO EASY TO SPEND SOMEONE ELSE`S MONEY (YOURS AND MINE!) Regards John The trouble with you John is you just sit on the fence. Only joking. I am aware of the way the BBC wastes our money. I believe the wine and food bill for the last accounting year was £49 million, but then when you are given £4.7 billion in license payers money plus product placement fees which if course the BBC never does as they don't advertise and of course there are the retail sales to add and when all that is taken into account £49 million for a few meals and some vintage wine is a mere trifle. Mike.
  13. Why does it need 3 people who each command huge salaries to present a one hour car program? Mike.
  14. Me too. But I cant honestly believe that those in charge of Top Gear haven't watched her in Classic Car Show and have the same nerve wrenching, embarrassing, awkwardness and downright amateurish synthetic friendship between her and Quentin Wilson the rest of the populous have experienced. Just scrub the program completely as it was well past its best by date and formulate another car program entirely. Mike.
  15. Hi Rich and welcome to the LOC and the Lexus experience. Please don't tell too many people as when it comes to replacing our cars there wont be any for us to buy. I have an LS400 and I use Falkens on her and they are very quiet of course alot depends on the awful roads we have to put up with in this country. Mike.
  16. Drove from Glasgow to London in my humble LS400 mk4 with my 30 year old son- he insisted on driving all the way, I would have had to prise his cold dead hands of the wheel to get him out of the drivers seat! I am going to Glasgow myself in the next few days. Up there and back in one day 806 miles. Mike.
  17. I'd take your tank to Mike's supplier next time :) I know people that wont go there because its 2 1/2 miles off the main road, but there's never a que there is always two very pleasant girls that serve you with a smile and you dont have to wait until someone uses the petrol pump in front by putting a fivers worth in then goes and does the weekly shop as its a Calor Gas distributor which has been in the village for at least 30+ years to my knowledge. On top of that they are paying 65p Barking Mad. Mike.
  18. I am paying 50p and on top of that I get a loyalty discount card which gives you a discount starting at 1p per litre and goes up with each visit at the moment I am getting an extra 8p off of 50p so paying 42p.
  19. 30K on IS-F tyres? I thought on average people used to get 20K out of them and that would be considered good for a car of this power. I don't do track days or drag races on the public road but at the same time all my mileage is town driving and a bit of A roads, which I think would punish the tyres a bit more. It would be interesting to know how much mileage other IS-F users get from their tyres. My fault I wrongly assumed we were talking about an LS400 which is what I have. Many apologies I shall hand myself in for a public flogging straight away. Mike.
  20. Ah I was thinking of LS which is what I have got. Many apologies I shall hand myself in for a public flogging straight away. Mike.
  21. Can you explain further? Mike.
  22. That looks as though it is definitely wearing on the inside. I expect to get around 30K from the fronts as those tyres have to carry alot of weight and slightly more from the rears I don't think garages do this as they do other things on a service but ask them to change the wheels around and you should then get maximum out of all your tyres. Mike
