  1. The Honda may need parts that are cheaper than Lexus but the LS doesn't need any spares. In 5 years I have replaced a number plate bulb. Go LPG Mike
  2. I do wonder whether some of these people should be driving because they must be blind. I know when I was looking for mine over 5 years ago now the number of cars I saw with dents scratches all described as mint I lost count of. The thing is withg all these cars none of expect to find a car that is mint so just be honest with their description Mike.
  3. I must admit I have often wondered why people in charge of passenger vehicles, Coaches, Taxis, Trains are not required to be as fit as a pilot has to be. You are being entrusted with the well being of paying passengers and having a driver/pilot so badly over weight is a recipe for disaster. Mike.
  4. Oh I so wanted to buy an air ticket and give the two of them a good slapping, annoying or what, I could only 3 mins. Every time the buyer mentioned something the salesman said Oh no wouldn't use that its crap. its got those but they are crap and don't work. I bet his paycheck at the end of the month has very small numbers on it. Mike.
  5. Hi Piotrek and welcome to the LOC, we are a friendly bunch and some of us even know how to pull them to bits and put them back together again, with of course the one bolt and washer left over. Regards Mike.
  6. I am being buried in my LS but that wont be for at least 25 years. Mike.
  7. Hi Simon, I don't know of them but I am sure someone will. We might need to move this thread into the IS250 Forum as this particular section is just to announce your arrival. Will see what you get in the way of replies and then make a decision. Mike.
  8. Hi and welcome to the LOC, we are a friendly bunch and some of us even know how to pull them to bits and put them back together again, with of course the one bolt and washer left over. Which branch was this? Mike.
  9. I'm old so I bet you can guess my answer. Mike.
  10. Love the look at the rear and sides but I still cant get on with that aggressive looking front. Good colour too. Mike.
  11. Well done on losing the weight. I don't think I would be doing such strenuous work. Good luck with it anyway.
  12. I dont know, what has happened to your posts they seem to have disappeared? Mike.
  13. It will be interesting what or where it ends up. Mike.
  14. What a brilliant find, well done Colin I shall enjoy going through that lot. Mike.
  15. I do like to put these little "contibution" in to keep the fun factor up. I should have known that's where they would send you, didn't know if it had a part number he could have ordered direct from them. Mike.
  16. Have you tried Mark Levinson direct? Mike.
  17. Finest thing in the world for bad hearts an LS400 as they relax you from the moment you set eyes on her. Best of luck with your recovery. Mike.
  18. Hi Stuart I have made inquiries and have come up with this email address for you. Steve Barnes steve@locuk.co.uk Hope this helps regards Mike.
  19. Thanks Rob, He also has a 1961 Etype MK1 coupe with only 1400 not fourteen thousand but fourteen hundred on the clock. Mike.
  20. Hi John and welcome back to the LOC, we are a friendly bunch and some of us even know how to pull them to bits and put them back together again, with of course the one bolt and washer left over. Regards Mike.
  21. Well we do live in a capitalist society and that's what goes on. Its also worth remembering that if secondhand prices continue to rise it also has an effect of enhancing the value of your LS. Mike.
  22. Hi Stuart I will find out and get back to you. Mike.
  23. No Stuart, I don't intend departing this earth yet! I've got a Vectra estate as well, which is also going to a new owner. It's just being more practical and having one car. I've had the LS430 for a year, and it's been great to own, everyone loves it. The Volvo I'm buying has some of the same features like pop up sat nav, ventilated leather seats and loads of toys, and is just about as mint as you can get, and it's rare to find one with only 32K.And a little PS to Mike. I seem to remember you decided not to renew your Gold membership because you didn't agree with all the rules! Anyway, all done now. There is little point in discussing why I did or did not leave the Gold scheme as it has no bearing on what you were trying to manipulate your way around. I would have thought you'd know me better than that Mike after all these years. Very unfair of you to judge my motives, I had absolutely no intention of manipulation, that's very offensive. If I agree with the rules as they are have nothing to do with the way I deal with them for every one, I am still in the same mindset I was when I left the Gold Scheme but my own personal preferences cannot be bought to bare on the way I moderate. When asked if I would like to be one of the Moderators I never saw that the rules would ever be a problem for me to deal with which includes the Gold Membership. I look after their interests as well as yours in an even and fair way according to the rules laid down. If you or anyone else is unhappy with any of the rules then its within your powers to bring it to the attention of the club administrators and try to get it changed. We cant allow members to advertise however "casually" a car or anything else on the premise your doing a kind and charitable thing by letting the LOC membership "casually" know your selling your car at an advantages price. Now please let that be an end to it.
  24. My Friend in Cornwall has a Morgan which he has done a complete restoration from the ground upwards. Has a Matchless engine. A work of art. Mike.
