  1. I think it requires some drilling but I am not expert but would welcome the views of others. It does not seem the issues I encountered are common and apart from the email from Sixty and my own experience I have not heard of others having these problems as a result of the plates being fitted. In my case it cannot be a coincidence though as I did not have any issue before installation of those plates. Also why they disconnected the battery, I have no idea
  2. I am a bit upset as a result of what happened today. My RX 4th generation had a major service at my lexus dealer today and they informed me that the annual hybrid check had failed. Apparently this could happen if the regular battery had been disconnected recently and I need to drive the car for a few hundreds miles before they can retest it. I never disconnected the battery as I don’t even know where it is. Only my Lexus dealer is looking after my car (service, MOT, change of tyre etc). It seems that my car keeps having electric issues since they installed the plates a few months ago. My patience is running out and I start questioning whether Lexus is such a good brand
  3. Yes I think you are probably correct, fully charged it should show 220 miles and not 251 miles
  4. Stephen2312, I think based on what I heard is that in addition to installing the software update (shown by the battery %) Lexus needs to recalibrate the range (it is a 5 minutes job). Once recalibration is done the range should show 251 miles when the car is fully charged. You may have therefore the software update but Lexus may have forgotten to recalibrate the range (as I said above it is a 5 minutes job)
  5. The range of the 300 rz is significantly better than for the 450 rz but it will be interesting to see how it compares in terms of driving and performance.
  6. I have checked my company car scheme and the RZ urban version is advertised alongside the premium, premium + and Takumi but this version is not yet listed on Lexus UK website
  7. I had one for 12 days and it is a very easy car to live with, I really like it. I would not recommend it though to anyone without a home charger or a facility to charge at home or at work. If not I would have no issue of buying one
  8. My 2020 RX 450h seems to have a few electronic issues recently. It has been with my Lexus dealer for around 10 days to fix the rear camera that is not working and the Lexus dealer called me this afternoon to say that they have fixed the rear camera but they need to keep it a bit longer to reset the tyre pressure light that has now appeared on the dashboard. I had not one issue for 4 years and now suddenly these two issues. My car had the plates fitted by the same Lexus dealer ( they are excellent) 6 weeks ago but surely this cannot be the cause of those issues ? Thank you
  9. Hi all, I assume that the RZ does have the adaptive cruise control ? The one that was loaned to me and that I still have is the premium +. In the RX, the adaptive cruise control can be activated by pushing down a short lever on the right side but I could not see one in the RZ so I assume it is through one of the buttons on the steering wheel ? It is a very good to drive, it is a pity I have to trade in my RX and replace it by another RX as I would have seriously considered the RZ as a replacement.
  10. I still have the RZ as a loan car (12 days now) while my Lexus dealer fixes a minor issue on my RX (the rear camera stopped working). I really like the RZ and it is growing day after day on me despite the limited range. I really like the smoothness and the quietness and how easy the car is to drive. I must say I will be sad when it goes back to the dealer. When Lexus sorts out the range (hopefully not too long now) this car will be perfect but until now I need an hybrid car unfortunately
  11. Unfortunately renting a car is not an option as I take all my vacations in Europe so insurance would be a nightmare and in winter I drive in tough conditions (winter tyres or chains are compulsory)
  12. Thanks, if I buy an RZ it would be through my employer company car scheme and the 42 days hybrid car offer is not available on that scheme. The offer is only if you buy the RZ direct from a Lexus dealer. This does not matter to me. I drove the RZ for a few days and still have it until they fix my RX. I really like the RZ, the smoothness of the drive is fantastic and it is a very easy car to live with. I can see the range being an issue but if you have a home charger and if you do not travel long distance (500 miles +) the issue should be mitigated. The bad point of this car that Lexus should address asap is the charging port lid that is of very poor quality
  13. The canbus issue. Apparently it takes only a few minutes for thieves to interfere with the car software, open the doors, start the engine and drive away. There is a video on youtube and all in all it takes around 3 minutes
