  1. Do you have a better pic? You normally should never push a bearing in with the inner ring, it will damage the bearings/cage.
  2. At the end of 2017 the premium nav option was £2k. in April 2018 the premium pack for the F Sport was £ 1900. both would probably only command a £500 premium in the used market. If you tried to retrofit it would probably cost £4k+ in parts new from Lexus, and no dealer would undertake that work.
  3. I would agree with the dealer. But if that continued for another week or two then you would run into problems without the battery getting a good charge, and letting the battery drop below 12 V would start to damage the battery where its capacity would be affected, creating a vicious cycle where it takes less and less time to drop to a dangerously low voltage. I've just checked my wife's UX. It had a very good run earlier in the week but has since sat there, or just done very short 5 mins journeys. It is now reading 12.2 V. Given she isn't going to use it much for the next few days I'll put it on charge tomorrow.
  4. 12.45 V seems too low. Has the battery been given the opportunity to fully charge?
  5. Ring doorbell Elite with wired Ethernet connection would solve that, but 99% of them out there are 2.4 GHz wifi only models which are easy to block. Some of the newer models have 5 GHz wifi too but could still be blocked.
  6. No, not with the method used to steal OP’s vehicle. Looking after your keys will prevent a relay attack theft so it should be done, although using just one of the methods you describe will work, there is no additional security gained by doing both together.
  7. Unfortunately this isn't anything to do with a relay attack with the keys. It is a CAN bus attack - they get to the wiring in the wheel arch and disable alarm/open doors etc. Most modern Toyotas seem to be susceptible - UX, RX, RAV4 etc. A steering wheel lock is probably going to be the most effective deterrent. Something like a ghost immobiliser would stop them taking the vehicle but they could still do damage before discovering it is immobilised.
  8. It won't help your coolant issue. You need to determine if the two are related or separate issues.
  9. The GS F was a more expensive car when new and sold about 1/6 of the RC F numbers so there is a rarity value, but everything's still a bit rich at the moment with the used market.
  10. Voluntarily termination is if you want to hand the car back and get out of the finance contract - here you need to have paid at least 50% because until then you won't have cleared the depreciation that occurs the most in the first months/years of the contract. Early settlement is if you want to purchase early - the finance company has to offer this and cannot charge you interest that would have been payable had you kept the contact running - so yes you can terminate after a short time. If you cancel after 14 days you will probably pay less than £100 in interest, so you get a saving of £1900+ with that contribution. You can cancel within 14 days but technically I think a manufacturer could try and claim the contribution back - but I don't believe that has ever happened.
  11. are you sure they haven't sent you one for the 220D my mistake?
  12. In this case I don’t think they have ever been covered so nothing has changed.
  13. Both actually. Same transmission used here and also the Lexus LS 350 and 500: The LC 500h transmission is in the Lexus LS 500h The front wheel drive 8 speed transmission that was developed alongside the rear wheel drive 10 speed used in the LC is used in the US RAV4, Camry, Highlander etc. https://global.toyota/en/powertrain/transmission/
  14. The gearbox is used in multiple vehicles, including certain Toyota Land Cruiser models, and others use a variant in the same family so the development costs aren't really associated with the LC. Plus Aisin, who make the transmission, would use some of the R&D from this transmission and use in designs they sell to other manufacturers such as Porsche.
  15. Sounds like a recall is coming then as it is a legal requirement for new BEVs and hybrids to have an Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System.
  16. No, this was all before E10 came in. The octane rating allows a more advanced ignition timing to be used with is more efficient. No, I have seen official Toyota documentation that states 95 RON or higher for European versions of the RC F but states 98 RON or higher for the GS F even though the engine/ECU/mapping is identical. Then other documentation for the RC F is 98 RON.
  17. Whilst it is vibrating, it is difficult to tell from the video it is the source of the noise or something further up in the seat base. Duct tape from the connectors/cables to the seat base to provide some tension will help narrow down where the noise is - then a cable tie or two would hopefully be able to fix things more permanently.
  18. I think it's fair to say if the LS and LC doesn't have caps then none of the lower models will either. Certainly none of my Lexus vehicles have had caps - just found some photos of my 1998 GS300 and 2001 GS430 and they are all exposed and I'm quite sure my 2016 GS F was too.
  19. Actually that sounds like they are monitoring the permanent 12v feed and waiting for it to jump up above 13v when the engine is running and battery is being charged. In which case it should work fine with a Toyota/Lexus hybrid as that will occur as soon as the vehicle is put into 'Ready' mode. It would work with some full electric vehicles too as they have 12v batteries that get charged when the vehicle is woken up.
  20. There is nothing specific about hybrids. The whole point of the OBDII port is it is a standard. Saying that there are different protocols in use and some pins are optional/vendor specific. Sounds like the lead is using one of the signal pins to identity when the vehicle is switched on and creates its own switched power signal - I guess that is where some of the incompatibility comes from.
  21. Suddenly out of the blue, nothing happened.
  22. Engine is more efficient in the RC F but the extra weight and fatter tyres even things out.
