  1. if you log into my Lexus you can get location, trip information, driving analytics etc.
  2. The SR was only available in 2008/9 as a limited edition and only in three colours. It wasn't available in 077 (called Arctic Pearl in the UK) and therefore you would have to order a different colour and get it resprayed. However given the different bumper design it isn't going to fit correctly.
  3. maybe the 12v battery charge level is critical and needs charging?
  4. I'm responding to reports and comments from LOC members about threads going off topic etc. etc.
  5. Cold means they haven't been warmed up by being driven on, or heated by direct sunlight. Pressure only moves around 1 PSI for every 10 degrees so it isn't super critical one day to the next. But the different between the height of summer and the depths of winter is enough to readjust your tyre pressures (and see a low pressure warning come if they were set in summer and it is now cold outside). Personally I'd set them early morning on an average temperature day for the time of year. Don't do it on an abnormally cold or hot day if it can be helped. TPMS is required on all new cars, whether they have standard or runflat tyres. It's been mandatory for several years now.
  6. Mod comment: If this topic is going to degenerate into another EV / hydrogen 'discussion' then it will be locked - there are other topics already running for that.
  7. outside of the styling/trim differences the main differences are the auto park / more sear lumbar adjustment / a key card (in addition to the normal key fobs) on the Takumi. The F Sport has sports suspension, and whilst it is electronically adaptive, it still rides harder than the Takumi. You are advised to test both as ride comfort is a very personal thing.
  8. Bentley are worried: https://uk.motor1.com/news/585338/bentley-wants-higher-weight-limit-europe/
  9. The front side lights and rear tail lights are all powered via the same relay and fuse so they must be ok if your tail lights are working. I assume you don't have factory HID lights and therefore the only thing in common across the two side lights is a single ground connection:
  10. Welcome 🙂
  11. I'd recommend you get a cheap stethoscope to try and narrow down where the noise is coming from: https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/cht171-mechanics-stethoscope/ It could be an injector, fuel pump, cracked exhaust manifold in addition to something from within the engine.
  12. NX F Sport is the only grade with AVS, and that only has a 20" wheel with run-flat tyre option.
  13. Looks fine on the configurator.
  14. It's one of those things that you almost wish will occur before 10 years/100k miles so you can get it fixed under Relax warranty.
  15. Correct. The centre bar is not a brake light.
  16. Why have you been putting air freshener on your rear spoiler?
  17. Yes, UV or moisture. I would have expected the trim to be made the same as the external pieces which seems much more robust - I guess the edges haven’t been sealed (correctly).
  18. have a look here - 10:50 mins in you can see the issue: some people are speculating that the pink coolant that Toyota are using is causing a failure of the sealant.
  19. you wouldn't think it would make that much of a difference but it does. If a car has a 0-60 time of 6 sec and acceleration was constant then each 1 mph would be 0.1 seconds, so that's 0.2 seconds between 60 and 62 mph, then factor in additional wind resistance and that the car is slower than 6 seconds and it all adds up. This is a good example (I picked this just because the stats are easily accessible and the cars are identical): Tesla Model 3 RWD from UK and Ireland. Identical cars but just different units used for measurement. Yes I would say so. The system output on the US and UK models is almost identical, with maybe a slight difference due to fuel grade. There could also be difference in wheels (weight makes a difference for acceleration) and possibly some rounding where the true 0-60 time could be as high as 7.24 and the 0-62 time as low as 7.66. Historically Lexus US and European vehicles have been different - different power outputs, different emissions, different gearing but these days there isn't much variation between regions unless regulations get in the way.
  20. No, acceleration slows as the vehicle speed increases due to wind resistance. I'd expect to see at least a 0.4 second difference for identical cars with a 0-60 time of 7 seconds.
  21. Production of the Toyota bZ4X apparently started up again yesterday after an approximate 3 month suspension whilst they fixed the wheel hub issue.
  22. Sounds like the solenoid that prevents the gear selector being moved from N to R unless the brake pedal is being pressed is sticking. Stripping down, cleaning and lubricating would probably fix it. The gear selector is quite complex: https://lexus.7zap.com/en/eu/lexus+ls/431220/ucf20r-aepgkw/2/3312/330285b/
  23. If you disconnect 12v battery and manually operate the handle I believe that will move the mechanism without moving the motor so would help eliminate where the noise is coming from - but yes, it does seem to be the motor at fault from your description (although I'm not sure of the motor is available separately from the lock mechanism anyway).
