That's poor from your dealer if they didn't explain how to operate the doors in your handover. There should be one in the centre console and another in the boot. However, they do need the ignition to be turned on so they won't be of use to you. This is a battery charger - not sure if you would be able to charge your battery for an hour or so with wires trailing across the pavement? As above, you may be better off with a solar charger (although it isn't going to be that useful in winter), or just carry a power pack that will enable you to get the car going again if the battery were to go flat. e.g. https://www.halfords.com/motoring/battery-maintenance/jump-starters/noco-gb20-500a-jump-starter-721880.html (cheaper alternatives are available on Amazon etc.). I would possibly consider turning off smart enter/exit and use the key fob buttons to lock/unlock the vehicle which will save a bit of battery drain.

and then in 2020 they brought back the FWD variant. However, FWD was only ever for the base grade, the Takumi (or previous Premier) was only AWD. As you say, look at the energy screen. Or under the rear of the vehicle for something that looks like a differential and driveshafts, or the VIN plate (and V5 logbook) will show the model number - AYZ10R..... for FWD and AYZ15R..... for AWD).

As Thackeray stated, this is no longer an issue because each major service is the same price (they put up the price of a basic 20k service to offset the extra cost a 60k service). In the past however, people didn't want to pay for a 60k mile service, which replaces the plugs, when their vehicle had done less than 60k miles and they didn't need replacing. -

A lot of dealers don't set/reset those, they are more of a DIY reminder. -
Most of the critical ones (ECU, ABS, Traction control etc) would be in the engine bay so you won't be near them, just don't use ones related to SRS or A/BAG. The fuse box cover will have all the fuses listed on the inside (although in a cryptic form such as S/ROOF, OBD or FOG RR). You will also probably find that the fuse box cover cannot be replaced with the piggyback fuse in place - so keep it safe somewhere.

The light bulb should take all of the voltage, which is why you should expect the full 12v to be across the bulb. Without a picture of exactly where you are measuring it is difficult to tell where the problem is, but it seems there is possibly a bad earth (although that is likely to affect multiple lights) or corrosion in the bulb holder. If you want to eliminate an earth issue without having to trace the wiring then use a spare piece of wire and use it to create your own temporary earth, ideally directly connected to the battery's -ve terminal if you have wire long enough, or from a clean metal point on the body somewhere. -
Definitely the RX if the size isn't too big. Both can easily be stolen, so make sure you get Lexus to fit the anti-theft protections they are now offering.

I'd remove the switch and check resistance across pins 1 and 3 confirm if it is working or not. Also check the fuses that feed the circuit aren't cracked. Possibly you have a bad earth at the lights? -

Which is why you used to see a lot of imports with a bolt on fog light hanging down off the bumper. The UK has requirements for a rear fog light and there needs to be a separation between brake and fog light - so you couldn't just convert dual brake lights. Never looked at a JDM GS F - it may be that they use a common rear light cluster on the GS F across the world so everything is good. Not the sort of thing you can just do in Techstream - if the headunit is the same it will likely need a firmware update. -

No, the reversing sensors are low range ultrasonic sensors. The radar sensors fitted in the rear wings/bumper of the vehicle which are used for rear traffic crossing alert and blind spot monitoring use millimetre radar which have a longer range - the two serve different purposes, where the radar needs movement so wouldn't be useful for stationary objects when slowly parking. -

No, it’s the other way around. Only the battery is covered, not the inverter or motors.

Obviously the video is hyperbole to get views, there are plenty of people who have 100k+ miles on an IS250. The main cause of unreliability is they moved to Direct Injection with this engine and didn't consider what it would do to the intake valves which get carbon build up. Best thing to do is change the oil regularly, using a quality oil. -

Here is more info: https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/warranty/lexus-warranty A condensor is covered by this extended warranty although perhaps it was damaged by an external object in which case it wouldn't be covered. Heater flaps and motors are explicitly stated as being covered by the warranty so if your vehicle qualifies then it should be fixed FOC. -

You would need to finish off with a cutting compound/polish otherwise it would remain very cloudy. If it is on the inside, have non-standard bulbs been used that have overheated the lens? -
I've never noticed the issues you describe with my UX. Obviously the engine isn't as smooth as an I6 engine, and you do notice it starting up/shutting down unlike a V6 GS450h/RX450h, but it doesn't judder/vibrate.

It certainly seems so based on your description. This is not a common issue for the NX being discussed on these forums - perhaps they are now coming of age when this starts to become an issue. It should be covered under Relax warranty if your vehicle is under 100k miles and have had your vehicle serviced at a Lexus dealer within the last year/10k miles.
