  1. Only toe adjustment on the rear. If the camber is out it would normally indicate some bushing wear or suspension arm damage.
  2. Normally a cheap wheel alignment is the 'tracking' or toe. Better to get proper wheel geometry carried out so tow, camber and caster are checked.
  3. Symptom is a continuous motor sound and possibly air flow not be directed as expected. However if you think the noise is in the engine bay then it isn't this.
  4. It wouldn't typically cycle that frequently though. The AC compressor is run via an inverter to control speed, so that doesn't cycle on/off. No, it's been a while since I owned by IS300h but I never experienced this. Worth standing outside with the AC running to try and determine if the noise is from inside the cabin or engine bay. I wonder if it's an air control servo that is constantly opening/closing an air diverter - other Lexus models can suffer this.
  5. Pricing isn't available until October. Yaris Cross starts at £25k and I'd expect the LBX to have a premium over that so maybe £28k starting. It would be less that the UX which starts just under £35k (with the Toyota C-HR starting around £34k).
  6. That makes more sense, a temporary component shortage. Although how difficult is it to get some wheel nuts fabricated - Toyota's supply chain really is in a mess.
  7. I wouldn't say there are any common issues. Certainly no common corrosion issues (not yet as least). The only thing that could be considered a weakness is rear brake disc corrosion from seized callipers due to the lack of mechanical braking because the hybrid system is doing most of the work. Otherwise it is owners not taking care/correcting issues as they arise so the normal tyres, wiper blades, suspension issue failures.
  8. Interesting. Locking wheel nuts are normally taken into consideration when insurance groups are set - I wonder if they would rerate the vehicles. You obviously ordered the vehicle when they were standard - whilst they can alter the spec you would think the Lexus UK or the dealer would just supply them for in-flight orders. The website / vehicle brochure and press information still states these are standard:
  9. they don't provide fuel, they operate the petrol stations.
  10. Can you try putting it into manual mode and holding the revs high but at low throttle - would give an idea if it is related to engine load vs rpm. Also what drive mode are you in?
  11. All the European models use 433 MHz so you will not be able to make your new fob work.
  12. It states they are E marked but without also seeing the certificate of conformity it’s quite an expensive gamble to take.
  13. That consistent with slightly more weight the NX carries along with less aerodynamic efficiency compared to the RAV.
  14. That was a one off where diesel got mixed up with petrol. It happens very occasionally at an individual station, be that Tesco or any other retailer.
  15. Yes. For this it's only one of the specific audio options and only occurs for the 2013/2014 vehicles when that specific model was in use, no info if this is common to just a specific hardware revision. However none of them started to fail until a few years ago. Some people in the states have managed to recover their units by performing a reset procedure which indicates at least in some situations it isn't a hard fault such as an internal fuse blowing.
  16. It's the same model/pioneer audio unit that is giving problems here, just it wasn't 9 years old when I had it.
  17. Batteries are changed/disconnected all the time. The one on my old IS300h was disconnected on more than one occasion without issue.
  18. That and possibly combined with ageing components as this only started to become an issue a couple of years ago.
  19. Given that growth in BEVs is around 35% per year that could only be possible if every single existing BEV owner upgraded their vehicle every year.
  20. It was done in the 80s and 90s because vehicles didn't have them fitted as standard and cars were easily being stolen. Most people don't want the inconvenience of a separate immobiliser, or the expensive, but it may well be the case that insurance companies start insisting on additional security again.
  21. Welcome Gary. This may help: If not the go please Menu and go into settings > Navigation > Map > Map Layout and then select either the 2D or 3D heading-up option.
  22. I agree that seems premature, and Michelin tyres are normally good for longevity. Is this even wear right across the tyre or has wheel alignment maybe contributed to more localised wear? The new UX 300e has a 35% larger battery for better range, although the efficiency still isn't on a level with Kia, Hyundai, Tesla etc.
  23. You can still purchase Lexus breakdown cover, although they now only cover the vehicle and not the owner (in other vehicles) so it isn't as good value as previously. Personally I went with the AA (who Lexus actually use) who do provide policies that cover the member(s) in any vehicle. I've read too many recent stories of the RAC subbing out their breakdown attendances to local firms (which is then a lottery on how good a service you get) to consider them.
  24. Ok, you're sailing pretty close with the wind here for a permanent ban from these forums for continuing to breach of our T&Cs. What I believe is that the UK has gone from 2% renewable to 40%+ over the last 30 odd years and that wind and solar farms are continually being brought online and expanded to further move the balance in favour of renewable energy sources. I believe this because they are facts that are proven.
