  1. I agree but this thread is discussing the UXh not the UXe.
  2. Your speedo conversion hasn't been implemented correctly and is affecting the speed signal that many of the vehicles systems are using. For PCS it receives a speed signal directly from the ABS/Skid control ECU and the combination meter and if the two go out of sync too much you will get a warning - it should produce an error code, maybe your system cannot read all proprietary error codes? Doors automatically lock around 12 to 15 mph, so with a 1.6x speedo conversion that is affecting other systems that would equate to approx. 20 to 25 mph. There are potentially other systems that will be affected by this incorrect speed signal so you will want to get this resolved.
  3. 12v battery guard functionality is not available on the UX.
  4. All insurance prices are rising but the out of control prices are for the RX because of recent thefts, the RZ shouldn't be affected by that. I've never had a competitive price from Lexus insurance so I wouldn't read too much into that quote - try Direct Line for a more accurate reality check.
  5. The IS200 doesn't have a relay for the injectors, they get a 12v supply directly from the ignition switch, with the other side of the injector directly wired to the ECU which will ground the connection to fire the injector. OP has stated 12v is on the supply side of the injector so it is the ECU not firing the injectors that is the problem.
  6. Not quite as comprehensive but certainly better than nothing. Neither cover trim parts, so not useful for any (all) GS F owners with delaminating carbon fibre interiors.
  7. Anyone who feels the new LBX is a little too small should maybe look at the LM 😉
  8. Any new error codes? I may need to crank for a while if the fuel has drained back into to tank - not sure the fuel pump runs until the engine is cranked so it won't purge all air with just the ignition on. I cannot remember if the immobiliser stops the ignition or injectors - have you checked the security light is going out when you put the key in the ignition?
  9. Yes, that's correct. The 6 speaker system also doesn't have a centre dashboard speaker which the other 2 have. You cannot always see the ML writing below the headunit in adverts, so another thing to look out for is small speakers on the rear doors next to the door release level - only ML systems have these:
  10. I thought that is only done on a major service, if at all. They would normally check for unusual noises and everything is working at expected (steering, brakes etc).
  11. Nothing, but there is no need to comment on an SUV thread if it isn’t of interest. This thread is to discuss the LBX - anything not directly related to that subject will be removed.
  12. and anyone reading this in the London area that hasn’t contacted Lexus yet, do so today and arrange to get anti-theft plates fitted ASAP.
  13. Get an insurance quote first before considering an RX.
  14. Worth looking at the injectors in case they are leaking/clogged or not spraying correctly. You could start with some injector cleaner added to the petrol tank but ideally you would want to take them out and get them bench tested - and use new o-rings when you put them back because the old ones will certainly leak if you try and reuse.
  15. I'm sorry but we cannot host that attachment on LOC as we don't have written permission from TMC to distribute their copyrighted material.
  16. Nor should it - that is totally down to the owner on what type of tyres they use (standard, seal, runflat etc.), so long as they meet the specified load and speed indexes for which the vehicle has been certified.
  17. I reused mine when I changed out the pads for EBC ones to stop the squealing and reduce dust - they came out fine having been in there for 3+ years.
  18. I wouldn’t like to say. I’ve not heard of anyone trying to retrofit a camera here. if you have Sat Nav capability then there is a chance, if not then I’d be less optimistic because I don’t think you can get a UX with a camera but not Sat Nav so the head unit will be different.
  19. No, all Lexus vehicles destined for Europe are made in Japan and all have a VIN starting with JT (Japan, Toyota).
  20. Marketing spin mainly, they don’t have the supply chain or want the extra expense to use Lithium Ion batteries in all their hybrids, even though they do in some models in different countries. Reliability is also a concern as they don’t have extensive experience with Lithium Ion battery management.
  21. Specs vary between countries but no, in the UK the base grade without a premium pack doesn’t have a reversing camera.
  22. People have done it in the US with Prius, but mainly just DIY projects rather than a commercially available upgrade kit. Moving to LFP lithium batteries would make the most sense in terms of extra capacity without any safety concerns, but you get diminishing returns by just adding more capacity - the EV only maximum speed is still there which really limits the use of the extra capacity. You get better success increasing the capacity of the Prius plug-in compared the just the hybrid model.
  23. Malcolm, not sure you appreciate how little boot space the UX has. If you are carrying any luggage you cannot fit in a space saver, and it you ever have to change a wheel then you have an even bigger problem of somehow securing a full size wheel in the boot.
  24. Yes, if you go with direct Lexus replacements then you get the sensors but many of the replacement pads (e.g. EBC) don’t.
  25. That doesn't sound correct. I've not got an NX to check but all my Lexus including my current UX, which is located under the seat, have a solid piece of non-removable metal where the VIN is stamped. The same VIN should be visible in the windscreen and a sticker on every panel (doors, bonnet etc.).
