Congrats on the new vehicle, sounds like you found a good one. It isn't the same engine as the IS and being heavier and a less aerodynamic SUV style vehicle you will see a noticeable drop in mpg - I'd expect a 15 to 20% drop compared to your IS.

Agreed. £ 1,600 option for the Lexus and would still cause some drag. I think the main advantage would be wind noise reduction and blind spot removal rather than efficiency but in that case I'd like to see them go further and virtually eliminate any protrusion with cameras right against the door with special lenses to capture the full view and then use software to remove any distortion on the displayed image. Hate to think what they would cost to replace if damaged - a piece of mirror glass from Lexus can be £ 400 so these.....

It's a replacement book. It would have been posted to the different Lexus dealers for them to fill it back in - so all the services at one dealer would be written at the same time by the same person, hence the same pen and handwriting.

They have different part codes so a dealer will just state they aren't compatible. But that might just be because of design rather than physically able to fit.

I've no specific experience of this issue but I'd try changing the schedule, save and then change it back again to 23:30, as altering the settings should force the data to be resaved into the vehicle in case they got corrupted.

P2002 isn't related to the EGR, it is a fault related with the DPNR catalytic converter - either the pressure is inconsistent between the front and rear, or the temperature isn't rising as expected when the ECU add more fuel during regeneration. The following are the potential areas where the problem may be, in order of most likely to least. You can’t compare as Lexus has a dealership network to keep alive and therefore are keeping their 10k/20k service schedules for their EVs. There is certainly no technical reason why they cannot move to a 2 year/20k mile schedule where the brake fluid, cabin filter and key battery are changed plus the brakes/suspension inspected.

Diesel and petrol have different wholesale prices and different demand profiles, hence the prices differences. Diesel has been coming down for months, although that seems to have bottomed out now.

Not the OPs problem but on a hybrid where you cannot run the radio etc. for more than a few minutes without impacting the aux battery you need to be in Ready mode and the lights will be on. If I’m waiting for someone in a car park I often get other drivers wanting my space expecting me to start driving off because they see my lights on. In this scenario I’d like to be able to turn them off.

I don't think the older ones are any different, and the stalks are the same design as used on the UX, ES and probably other models too - they don't have an 'off' position.

If you have just purchased the vehicle then I'd take it back and get them to fix the issue. However if you want to try yourself then here are the assembly instructions which may or may not help (the drawings aren't very clear).

Yes they were changed on March 2019 built models where they started to use Pagid rather than Brembo/Galfer pads, and in fact they changed them again later in that year and again the following year so they couldn't have been happy with them initially. But if you order a set of the original pads I'm sure you will receive Brembo/Galfer ones as the newer ones have different part codes.

I think the ETCS circuit only connects to the engine ECU so that one is easier to fault find. Disconnect the battery and measure resistance from that fuse to ground to see it if is shorted, and then do the same with the ECU disconnected. You potentially have blown the ECU, or there is a short in the wiring loom from melted insulation. Also worth checking the 120A alternator fuse hasn't blown.

If it is made by Pioneer and has an SD-slot then it will have nav and will probably work. Ideally you want one the same as what you have - real part code 86804-53P40 or 86804-53P41. You could try the 86130-53183 (real part code 86804-53P51) Mark Levinson one as it may just be cosmetic differences but I'd make sure I could return it in case it doesn't like being connected to your Pioneer amp and not the ML one. Have they returned your faulty unit? I'd be interested in taking a look at it to see what has failed - although there could be multiple faults on it now if someone has had it apart.

Not that I’m aware of, although there is an alternative part code with a different compound to prevent squealing, with a warning not to track the car.

The nav system of that age RX doesn't support full post code input. Can't remember if the latest update for that unit gives you full post code but the rest of the system isn't great by modern standards so you are better off forgetting about it and use a mobile phone in a cradle.

Try holding down the unlock button for up 60 seconds when next to the vehicle until it unlocks - it may just be a case of the rolling security sequence needs to be sync'd. Otherwise the vehicle would need to be programmed for the key again - a dealer or auto locksmith can do that easily.

Any reputable independent should be able to do it provide they have access to the official procedure and use genuine Toyota WS fluid.
