  1. That seems excessive. Plugs should only take 1 hour on that engine.
  2. If you have the triple beam adaptive lights (e.g. Takumi) then the indicators are LED, otherwise the standard light cluster uses filament lamps for the indicators. You can replace with LED equivalents but I personally don't feel it would be worth the time or effort.
  3. If the fluid is good then I would suspect the reverse solenoid sticking rather than a blockage in the valve body which would be highly unlikely without poor fluid and other issues.
  4. The issue with a touch screen is your finger/hand isn't anchored to anything and so it easily sways off course from road bumps etc rather than it being a left/right dominant hand issue. That seemed to be the main reason Lexus moved away from their touch screens in the 2000s and went to physical controllers in 2010s but everyone hated them, especially the mouse type. Give it another 10 years and it will be controllers again. Give voice control a go, it works ok for certain functions.
  5. It wasn't there yesterday when OP first posted but it's back today. Caught in the middle of a website glitch/update I guess.
  6. As Doug has stated, you should get a free courtesy car and a certainly amount of fuel to compensate you for having to bring the car in. What seems to happen is some dealers pocket that money they get from Lexus GB as they perhaps feel they aren't given enough time/money to perform the work (or more accurately they could make more money performing work for customers at £200 per hour if they didn't have to do recall work paid for by Lexus).
  7. No that's incorrect, warranty stays with the vehicle: Transferability of the Additional Warranty 22. The Additional Warranty is transferable to subsequent owners of the vehicle but not transferable to another vehicle. The Additional Warranty follows the vehicle not the customer, provided that the maximum mileage count and/or Additional Warranty period have not been exceeded. https://www.lexus.co.uk/content/dam/lexus/nmsc/united-kingdom/owners/warranty/extended-warranty-with-servicing/150623-LEXUS-WARRANTY.pdf
  8. Only Takumi (and F Sport with Takumi pack) has seats and wiring to allow seats to move to a preset memory position so even if the memory position was stored with other general settings it would be impossible to gain that functionality. But even that isn't the case, the memory position is stored in a dedicated seat/mirror control module which isn't fitted on a non-Takumi model.
  9. or in the case of tyres, buy cheap and you may not be around to buy twice!
  10. Memory position are stored in the vehicle, within a dedicated ECU, and the individual keys can be associated with a memory position. Keys themselves don't store settings. To have memory function the seats/mirrors/hud are fitted with sensors to track position, which need an alternative wiring harness to send the signals back to the memory ECU. There is no way to 'enable' memory functionality on a vehicle that wasn't fitted with it (not without replacing/adding many parts).
  11. some series III GS450h owners. Toyota has better warranty than Lexus as they complete with Kia etc who offer 7 years. Lexus compete with Audi/BMW/MB etc. who only give 3 years. The warranty isn't related to the reliability of the vehicle, just reflects what the market expects.
  12. No fault - the rear belt warning is unsophisticated, there are no pressure sensors on the rear seats so it is fooled sometimes. However unless a seat belt is unfastened you shouldn't get an audible warning - maybe one of the belt sensors is playing up (worth buckling / unbuckling each of the rear belts a few times to clean up the switch contact).
  13. I would check all the high current fuses in the no. 1 fusebox in the engine bay - you possibly have one of the 60 / 80 Amp fuses blown. Here's the location for a RHD vehicle (for LHD it is on the other side of the engine bay).
  14. I imagine that is what they would do, and they possibly want to move to 10 years for only the vehicles with Lithium Ion hybrid batteries. But legally I don't believe they have any need to honour what they originally stated - the owner didn't purchase that service as part of the overall vehicle sale (and I doubt many original purchasers keep their vehicles beyond 10 years anyway).
  15. as mentioned above, it's still in the latest price list https://www.lexus.co.uk/content/dam/lexus/nmsc/united-kingdom/brochure-downloads/Price_List_July_2023.pdf#page=17
  16. even that isn't exactly cheap!
  17. No, Toyota still transparently provides warranty up to 15 years: https://www.toyota.co.uk/hybrid/hybrid-ownership
  18. This is in the latest price list (July 2023) - so 15 years should still be good for now: HYBRID BATTERY WARRANTY COVER AND HYBRID HEALTH CHECK (HHC) A Hybrid Health Check is included in all services for hybrid vehicles, where a technician will test the entire hybrid system and provide a written report. With each Hybrid Health Check, the customer will receive an extra 1 year or 10,000 mile (whichever comes sooner) hybrid battery warranty extension, until the vehicle is 15 years old. An annual Hybrid Health Check is free of charge as part of any Lexus Service. If a service isn’t due for a while, a standalone Hybrid Health Check is available for just 59 to offer peace of mind.
  19. That's over a year old and things can change or be withdrawn. As that is just a blog post, it doesn't reflect current T&Cs, only at the time of writing.
  20. which socket? please post a clearer photo.
  21. 5 year / 60k is the manufacturer warranty - it's always been this. Relax gives you 1 year 'poor mans' extended warranty for 1 year / 10k miles up to the vehicle being 10 years old, and that includes HHC to cover the hybrid battery. HHC is still available stand alone but Lexus seem to be removing reference to this being available for vehicles being up to 15 years old in their brochures and website, and I get the feeling they will roll this back to 10 years as they do in most other European countries (even though Toyota is still giving 15 years). You will need to enquire at your dealer to get confirmation if 15 years is still being provided for the IS300h.
  22. The valve on the left of your picture is the standard one. The one attached to the grounding bracket isn't, although it looks a genuine Toyota part with correct connector so maybe it has been relocated. What is the red cable/hose in the bottom left of your picture, and also there appears to be a vacuum hose blocked off. This is a good pic of the factory engine bay:
  23. Concierge uses the auto setting for heat and steering wheel heaters, so you should adjust the sensitivity setting to a -ve number (e.g. -1 or -2) to stop it getting so hot. If you don't want the heaters to come on automatically then turn off Concierge and just have the climate control set to auto and manually operate the heaters.
