  1. Better to look at figures where someone doesn't have an agenda. Bjorn tested a MY LR at 75 mph, 5 deg C with heating on, running fuel inefficient winter tyres and got a range of 200 miles. Slow down to 56 mph and you get a range of 280 miles.
  2. Hate to think what the trade in price was.
  3. UX 300h now confirmed. Updated with the latest revision of engine/hybrid system the 250h already has, but with more power and lithium ion battery. It gets reclassified as having the equivalent power of a normally aspirated 3 litre engine (hence the moving from 250h to 300h). Total system power is now 199 bhp, and if you opt for AWD, the rear motor is actually worth having by producing 41 bhp rather than the pathetic 7 bhp of the 250h AWD model - however total system power still remains at 199 bhp. Nothing from Lexus UK yet - here is a google translation from Lexus Fr: https://media-lexus-fr.translate.goog/nouveau-lexus-ux-300h--plus-de-puissance-et-de-raffinement-en-2024/?_x_tr_sl=fr&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=sc
  4. Only the Lexus RC300h F Sport and RC F models. In yellow these are rare, probably more so than the LC.
  5. They essentially waited for the vehicle facelift to upgrade the infotainment system. Late 2018 (MY19) ES and NX got an upgrade - Lexus never developed a retrofit for the LC.
  6. The correct procedure is to use Techstream to allow new fluid to be pumped around the transmission and get to the correct operating temperature. However, if you accurately measure what you take out and put the same amount back in then you should be good (assuming the temp of the old and new fluid is the same when you measure it, and that your fluid level is correct in the first place). If you want the official workshop repair manual procedure (which requires tech stream) then you can subscribe to the info here - 1 hour access is around £4. https://www.lexus-tech.eu/Menu/Repair
  7. All facelift GSs have auto high beam. Turn it off if you want to turn on the high beams manually.
  8. The GS450h doesn't have an automatic transmission with a torque converter that holds the majority of fluid so you cannot drain it all out. Therefore there is no need to do multiple drain/refills.
  9. 2022 was particularly bad for Lexus due to their supply chain issues. 2021 wasn't as bad because they were holding buffer stocks of components but they then ran out going into 2022.
  10. If you are looking at an RX series IV (2016-2022) then ignore Parker's different categories of CVT, e-CVT and E-Four - all the vehicles have an e-CVT and AWD (the same as your RX400h). The reason is mainly Lexus marketing and the way they gave different descriptions for the same thing over the years. Also ignore the seemingly wild variation in mpg - the 2016-2022 date period covers the transition from one official testing method to the newer more accurate one (i.e. lower figures) - they all essentially have the same real-world economy.
  11. I suggest you test drive another RX of the same age to compare. Everyone has a different perspective on how light or heavy the steering is so I’m not sure you can make an informed decision if there is something wrong with your car from the replies here. I suspect there is something wrong from what you describe.
  12. If it has arched designed seats then it was either an F Sport Design (not an F Sport) or an older F Sport without an option pack and therefore fake leather seats. if you have a Takumi pack then your seats will be full leather F Sport ones with a centre stripe.
  13. Lexus has sold around 4,000 NXs this year, presumably all with only a single key. Given those numbers it would seem a high probability that one or more owners would lose their key and therefore a company focused on customer service would hold a spare or two of the components needed in country to avoid delays in getting a customer up and running again. Sadly Lexus in the UK is not a customer focused company these days.
  14. The tag allows the physical key to be cut, so all the locks don't have to be changed. But without a master key you cannot programme the immobiliser to accept a new key - you potentially need to replace the immobiliser ECU - this is the risk Lexus has been playing by not supplying customers with two master keys.
  15. Yes, it was very disappointing that Lexus didn't develop an upgrade for the earlier years in Europe.
  16. That is odd. Once the vehicle goes into 'Ready' mode the hybrid system will start supplying the vehicle's 12 v power - it should be outputting up to 14.4 v to charge up the 12 v battery. I suspect your 12 v battery is unable to supply any reasonable load and is dragging down the vehicle's 12 v system. With the vehicle turned off, measure the voltage of the 12 v battery and then flash and hold your headlights on - I suspect the battery voltage will severely drop, indicating the battery is failing.
  17. probably the newest GS F in the country and already has delaminating trim
  18. Yes, a low 12 v battery can cause all sorts of weird and seemingly unrelated issues/error messages. If you have a volt meter, check the voltage of the 12 v battery in the morning before you start the vehicle - if it is below 12.2 v then you might need to get it replaced.
  19. and to add to this, there were also some changes for 2019 models - new gearbox programming, new engine mounts, changes to some steering and suspension components - so maybe don't rule out 2019 and 2020 models.
  20. It's difficult to know for sure but there were probably only ten cars sold in the UK that fit your criteria - you may have to wait for some time for one to become available.
  21. I hope Lexus is providing you with a loan vehicle whilst they order the required ECU(s) and key to resolve this issue?
  22. Almost always worked on my wife's old Gen 4 Prius and my old IS300h but the UX, 9 times out of 10 will just state unavailable.
  23. The EV button is to force the vehicle into EV when it normally wouldn’t do it itself and is therefore inefficient. It is designed so you can move your vehicle in/out of a garage without generating fumes etc. For normal driving you shouldn’t use it, unless for example you wanted to cut emissions as you pass a school. I’ve used it in the past to leave/arrive at my house at hours where I don’t want to disturb people however the EV mode on the UX is almost useless for this compared to other Toyota/Lexus hybrids I’ve owned as it is rarely available when first starting the vehicle - it seems to want the battery charge level at be higher level than it typically maintains it at before it will engage EV mode.
  24. Ultimate Edition, Hokkaido Edition and Black Inspiration were also available as convertibles. 50 to 60 cars is probably about right. The hybrid sales have really slowed in the last 3 years so it is really just the split between V8 hard and soft tops to try and work out - strange that the DVLA aren't categorising them separately.
