  1. With you until the end. Slower but clear pressure provides less performance that slamming your foot down - that is how it works, the faster the engine gets up to speed the better performance you have.
  2. what error code are you getting? The waveform only has to be out a bit for it to throw the foreign object error and you potentially need an oscilloscope to see the error.
  3. Potential sources of Ingress are the door seal, door bottom drains blocked, door mirror, door membrane if the door card has been taken off at some point, windscreen not bonded or actually coming through the air intake.
  4. The tyre isn't that old (week 41 2019) but Michelin do seem to suffer from sidewall cracking after a few years. If you believe there is something causing wear on the inside it would be good to see a picture of that (maybe turn the steering to full lock).
  5. No, no known issues related to tyre wear. Can you post a picture?
  6. Every 20k miles / 4 years is the standard service schedule. There is no distinction between a normal and severe schedule for this element. Worth testing it rather than just replacing it before the proper schedule.
  7. It only does it in the sport drive modes. Are you in Normal perhaps?
  8. Good to see the car industry is keeping up their poor reputation against cyber attacks. 😞
  9. Depends on vehicle. You don’t state what age your GS is and your profile states a 2008 RX. Often Lexus only sell a complete driveshaft with attached CV joints and you need to be careful with aftermarket ones as they sometimes expect you to swap the ring from the old one. Hopefully there is just some metallic dirt in there that can be cleaned out.
  10. You have still knackered your battery by letting it go flat though. The alternative to using another battery is to just disconnect the negative connection from the battery when you leave it at the airport.
  11. 4 weeks is pushing it - even with a slightly higher capacity battery. You won't physically fit something much larger. I'd consider getting another car battery, fully charge it, and connect it in parallel using jump leads once you parked up at the airport and then disconnect it before you drive away after your return. That second battery could be something much larger which could easily last several months.
  12. I would try taking out the sensor and shining a light whilst you rotate the driveshaft to check the teeth before stripping down the hub. One or more may be damaged which means you will need a new driveshaft.
  13. Normally you can get an independent to do it, or yourself. However, the series III IS with premium audio has a common fault where the audio headunit can fail when disconnecting the battery and is £2k to fix. I’ve not heard of this issue beyond 2016 models and I’m sure the stereo can be fixed easily if the fault can be diagnosed, but as yet we haven’t seen an easy fix.
  14. That must be the gross weight not the kerb weight?

  16. I thought the main feeds were on the larger connector, pin 1 for a permanent 12 v (green wire) and pin 11 for ignition feed (orange)

  18. Just be aware that the attachments are for US vehicles which have a different spec to UK ones.
  19. Lexus are a bit vague about what features are part of which service but I believe that feature is part of connected services which is provided for 10 years from when the vehicle was first registered. For my wife's UX the initial three year map update subscription has expired but Lexus Link including location still works.

  21. The standard tyre size for the 17" rims is 225/45. If you were to move up to 225/50 then you would gain 11mm height and you would reduce the speed on your speedo by 3.4% - which would actually make it more accurate than standard (although the odometer would be less accurate). You would need to notify your insurance of such a modification. https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=225&aspect=45&diameter=17&wheelwidth=7&offset=45&width2=225&aspect2=50&wheel_size=17&wheel_width=7&offset2=45
  22. Do you have a dash cam that might be interfering with it?
