  1. You will need to do the same with the sunroof, if you have one.
  2. That is incorrect - possibly they have taken that from another country where it is true. Provided the sizes are the same, and the structure is the same on an axle (i.e. both cross-ply or both radial) then you can mix. You can even mix run-flat and conventional. None of this is recommended as you compromise handling in an extreme situation, but illegal it is not and you see many vehicles with odd tyres on them.
  3. Both, from MY23 models.
  4. Yes, fully legal.
  5. I'm not aware of the vehicle recording when the alarm is triggered. Lock the vehicle with a window open and put your hand in after a minute if you want to be sure the interior sensors are working (assuming you have interior sensors as a specification in your country).
  6. If this is the one in Ashford then yes. You don't take PX as a private seller normally. He is a trader, should be paying proper taxes on his profits and providing essentially what is a 6 month warranty as per the law.
  7. P1300 will trigger a fail safe and will cut fuel at 3,000 rpm to protect itself. This is expected - you need to fix the underlying issue (P1300 related to cylinder 1):
  8. Agreed, although there is a full page on the procedure in the main owners manual. I assume, as the battery should be replaced at each major service, that most owners don't need to trouble themselves with having to replace it so it wasn't included?
  9. Just download the PDF version and use the search facility. The whole reason Lexus doesn't provide paper copies of the main guide by default is to save paper (and money).
  10. Difficult to put an axle stand on the jacking point when there is a jack there!
  11. There should be another earthed piece of metal you can use - any bolt going into the bodywork.
  12. The diagram above shows the only recommended points. Can you drive the front wheels onto some wooden planks to raise the front up so your jack will get under?
  13. Using the charging point in the engine bay or directly on the battery makes no difference. The alarm going off when you connect a charger indicates that your battery voltage has gone very low - the alarm will trigger if its 12 v supply is disrupted when armed as an anti-theft measure. Depending on how flat the battery is, you may struggle to disable the alarm with the keyfob - in this situation it is advisable to disconnect the 12 v battery and charge it disconnected, and then only reconnect the vehicle once it has a good charge.
  14. only what has been mentioned above. Make sure the 100k service which includes the coolant change has been done, as that is an expensive one. The next major service at 120k miles will also be a high cost because the plugs will be due for replacement (every 60k miles).
  15. On the sill jacking points:
  16. Since the pandemic there doesn't really seem to be a pattern of when prices are adjusted and some are just based on external factors such as the price of shipping. Typically the price would increase at a new model year but it doesn't always happen (prices might not change for 2 years), or occur then. The issue you describe however really was only an issue during and straight after the pandemic - where lead times were so long that price increases weren't known at the time of order.
  17. If it is the accelerator position sensor part 22060-46010 / 22060-46070 (and not the throttle position sensor) then you might be able to repair it as they develop dry solder joints over time from the constant heat cycling. See here (video half way down): You can get them from a dealer in the UK but would be expensive. The other option would be to purchase a complete throttle body from a salvage yard and take it off that (they are unlikely to just sell you the sensor). If you got a second hand unit I'd recommend resoldering the joint so it doesn't quickly develop the same issue.
  18. Yeah, the CT200h in the UK got a 45 Ah one because of the alarm where some other countries only got 35 Ah. Seems Lexus forgot that alarm, smart entry and always Internet connected vehicles consume more power when turned off than cars did 30 years ago!
  19. We only have the ES300h in this country so I doubt people here can advise. You may get a better answer on our sister site: https://us.lexusownersclub.com
  20. I believe it is real wood, it is just the lacquering used to protect it that makes it look fake. Similar to the previous generation RX: https://mag.lexus.co.uk/yamaha-piano-makers-apply-their-craft-in-new-lexus-rx/
  21. There are three audio systems; standard, premium and ML. The main unit is the same for both Premium and ML (other than cosmetics) so both are impacted. If you have the mouse controller and centre dashboard speaker then you have premium or ML.
  22. Yes, if it is a personal recommendation that you aren't going to financially benefit from.
  23. The series II NX is unaffected (NX350h or NX450h+). Some insurers don't seem to have a correct list of which models are or are not affected and may refuse to provide cover but generally you shouldn't have an issue. Your RX is entitled to have a tracker fitted FOC by Lexus - would your insurer provide cover then?
