The RX has no such pump. The GS has a weird 2 speed automatic transmission combined with the CVT and it is a transmission fluid pump that has reliability issues.
The only problem with the RX has been the electric coolant pump on the inverter, most if not all where changed under a recall so actual failures were rare to nonexistent.
Many, many, many more RXs sold compared to the GS, and a lot are now well passed 100k miles without an issue.
