  1. You can pair up to 5 devices but only one can be active at any one time. Connected services will give you real-time traffic and parking updates along with google search and street view. You are also able to set Sat Nav destinations on your computer using the Lexus portal website which the car will then download and therefore be available as destinations in memory. If you wanted to have your phone connected to make/receive phone calls then you should use the WiFi hotspot on your wife's phone which the vehicle can connect to. That way you have both functions at the same time. The only slightly annoying thing with this set up using an iPhone is that the WiFi hotspot feature will only be available when you specifically go to the hotspot function in settings which will allow the vehicle to connect. Once it is connected you can go to other functions on the phone. When you use bluetooth for Internet tethering you don't have to do anything, the vehicle will just automatically connect and use the Internet no matter what the phone is doing.
  2. The CTs that don't have cloth have real leather, not fake. The same with all Lexus vehicles, if it was PU they would state so.
  3. Indeed but Toyota have already stated they have no immediate plans to introduce Carplay systems even though they are signed up with Apple. This could be a decision point for my next vehicle on whether to stay with Lexus.
  4. No such thing as Lexus UK. Lexus in the UK is just a division of Toyota (GB) PLC.
  5. The 200t should be cheaper, it is certainly cheaper to produce, and they won't be able to get away with the performance tax like they have with the NX. Personally I don't think the 200t is a good fit for the RX anyway, especially as it is even bigger than the current generation - needs a 250t or 300t.
  6. Yes I know, sorry I wasn't implying you were incorrect but that the auction owner was. Given that the engine doesn't have one I wouldn't trust anything else stated about that vehicle.
  7. I highly doubt they will port QNX over to existing systems. Still QNX by itself means nothing, it is just the underlying OS - it is the application on top that sucks. It's a shame that Aisin AW don't just stick to transmissions rather than playing with navigation systems and leave it to people who know what they are doing. However Toyota will continue to use them given that they majority own the company, and own a large percentage of the entire Aisin group.
  8. There shouldn't be too much to actually load up on a Premier, £70k seems far too high. I was expecting up to 10% price hike, which the RX seems to get with every major revision but seems it is going to be over 15%.
  9. If I listen to a podcast then the system always hangs when it ends, have to reboot it every time. :(
  10. This there a link or picture missing? Cannot comment without further information however I will say I've seen Lexus vehicles, of all types, that have had extensive servicing bills - seems some dealers just take advantage where they can get away with it and will replace brake pads/discs and suspension items when it isn't really necessary.
  11. Yes I'm sure it does, and also any Toyota/Lexus Press vehicles too.
  12. Very much sounds like a fuse has blown. It will be located in the drivers side fusebox. Details are in the owner's manual.
  13. Toyota UK's official figures show 7 sold/registered in 2014 and 115 in 2015 up to the end of May.
  14. By itself the vehicle doesn't have any Internet connection, it needs either Bluetooth or WiFi tethering from your phone, so you cannot do remote start etc. on the UK system. The keyless entry system is something you want to be more concerned about.
  15. That voltage does seem a little low. You can get weird fault codes generated because of this. Either the battery needs to be fully charged, or replaced, and then see if you still get errors.
  16. I didn't think it adjusts. Normally echo is because you have the volume too loud, maybe you are turning it down during the call?
  17. The Lexus warranty allows 1 month leeway so I wouldn't worry about it. Quite poor from that dealer though.
  18. It could be the struts, but worth giving the hinges a little lube first. I guess you could disconnect the struts to see how freely the tailgate moves when they are not in place (by hand not the power lift). Normally gas struts lose pressure and struggle to open against the weight of the tailgate, closing doesn't normally get stiff.
  19. I'd see how things go for a day or two in case any moisture needs to dry off.
  20. here is a link to a full set of locking nuts with the covers. No idea where you get a cover on its own - ebay maybe, scrap yard, a local Lexus or Toyota dealer may have some knocking about they will give you FoC. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-21mm-HEX-GENUINE-ALLOY-WHEEL-LOCKING-NUTS-M12-X-1-5-FLAT-SEAT-WASHER-CAPS-/140910898866
  21. That type of locking wheel nut has a 'fake' hex shaped cover that goes over the nut to make it look like a standard wheel nut. I'd check you locking wheel nut case, which should contain the keyed socket and also the cover removal tool - the cover may still be in the tool. You should have this: The object on the bottom right is the cover remover. You place it over the cover and pull away, then you press the centre rod to push out the cover from the tool.
  22. members here have fitted an auto rad to a manual before and haven't stated any modification is needed.
  23. If you decide to take the player apart there are some instructions here: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/97504-the-dreaded-cd-error-code-4/
