  1. To answer the person's question and to explain that it is different to an IS300h. You have made your position clear in this thread, I suggest you move on.
  2. The light system issue is probably more complex than just a fuse. Probably the sensor on the rear suspension which is prone to seizing and then the arm snapping. Toyota dealers can diagnose to a certain level. In theory they shouldn't have access to Lexus vehicle in their diagnostic tools which has to be unlocked with a password given to Lexus dealers.
  3. It only take a couple of days to actual manufacture the thing but normally take a couple of months to arrive, based on feedback from people ordering new vehicles on these forums. I guess it depends how luckily you are with timing for a slot on a boat.
  4. The NX has a 20% lower power to weight ratio compared to the IS300h due to the extra weight and giving up 28 bhp. All of that power loss is from the petrol engine which then has to work harder to get up hills.
  5. Could be a good solution for somebody. Not sure about their description of a common complaint though. Not seeing it on these forums. They also state the ECU is for 2000 to 2006. 2003 saw the launch of the series II with a completely different transmission so the ECU isn't common across those six years.
  6. If it became orderable in April then it would only be turning up now. Yes the Dunlops have been fitted as the OEM for several months now. They were going to be my choice when I need replacements for my very noisy Bridgestones however the fact that Lexus are using means they probably aren't that good either :winky:
  7. The VAT part is irrelevant. If the RC was sort after the used price would be more than new given the short supply, like with an F-type jag or RR Sport when it was only 6 months old.
  8. something interfering with the signal would be my guess.
  9. I'm assuming this became an option in April along with the other revisions to the range. Did it still have the F Sport black roof lining? Lexus are useless; their press pack, brochure and online configurator don't list this as an option.
  10. You take out the finance, get the discount and then after a month settle the finance in full having only paid a very small amount of interest. Any finance package costs you more than purchasing outright, there is an extra middleman making money out of you.

  12. and if you tried to trade one in you would probably only get £45k.
  13. Haven't you contradicted yourself? First you say it is nonsense than then you say ordered extras been to be declared. If you don't declare paid for extras, be them factory fitted or accessories, then your insurance company may not pay out for them. The model certainly doesn't define all factory fitted items - less of an issue for Lexus but a BMW for example could be a basic SE with 100's of factory fitted options, adding 50% to the list price.
  14. It's all of them. If you click on the check coverage icon, the right one on your screenshot, and then a country it will list which one of the 4 discs it is on. People on ebay are just purchasing the full pack from Lexus and selling the individual discs. It's cheaper to purchase from them if you just want one disc, for example the West one for the UK, but two or more and you should just purchase from Lexus.
  15. If you need a couple of discs then you might as well just purchase the correct pack directly from Lexus on their website. It would work out cheaper and that guarantees you have the correct disc as you verify the part code on your existing disc.
  16. Worth checking in your manual to see if DVD and MP3 is mentioned together. On other Lexus vehicles MP3 playback is only supported on CDs and not DVDs.
  17. Under gently engine load/acceleration, typically around 50mph maintaining speed going up a slight incline, you will get a resonance if the engine is running at around 1,300 rpm. It is similar to a rough road surface. Best you don't go looking for this, once you discover it you will constantly be aware.
  18. walk away slowly..... :) It is one of the keyless entry sensors, stops the vehicle being locked if it detects the key is located inside the boot.
  19. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-33594585 The price of diesel has fallen below petrol at some supermarkets for the first time in more than a decade, after the big chains announced price cuts. Supermarket Morrisons cut the price of diesel by up to 2p per litre, and Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury's followed the move with their own price cuts. The last time diesel was cheaper than petrol was 2001, according to analysis by Experian Catalyst.
  20. The next gen Prius needs to come out, that is where Toyota's hybrid technology is refreshed first. Rumours are that the normal 10% improvement should be maintained with each generation, possibly only with lithium ion batteries which may be an expensive option. Plug-in isn't going to be standard, it will be optional as it currently is however it will have more range. CT isn't going to be refreshed for another couple of years, it has only just had a mid-cycle refresh and needs the Toyota base platform upgrade first, be that the modular platform the new Prius will be built on or kept as a rebadged Arius.
  21. US fuel is measured in a different way to the UK so you cannot directly compare.
