  1. Only difficult if you try and change it without disconnecting the air filter body from the throttle body hose first. Take the extra minute to undo the clamp and it lifts off right out of the way.
  2. There is a 10A fuse labeled LH-IG which powers the system. The same fuse powers one of the reversing lights so that is a quick way to tell if the fuse is blown or not. The motor is within the rear parcel shelf. To get to it you need to remove the rear seats, scuff plates and the trim pieces behind the doors.
  3. Hi Ed. Was it wipers.co.uk or wiperblades.co.uk?
  4. Send a mailshot from my local dealer franchise the other day and within it was an offer of £6.5k saving off an RX F Sport. All that was find but included was a picture of the yet the be unreleased series IV RX.
  5. In the UK yes this is deliberate. If it were to read 70 mph at a true 70 mph then it would be considered out of calibration and in need of repair.
  6. Are European vehicles suffering from this? It could be an issue with locally sourced parts. The main reason for the recall in the US is to stop lawsuits. Sadly they are unlikely to do the same in Europe.
  7. Toyota use the hubs to centre the wheels (hub centric) and use flat wheel nuts. Other wheels, mainly cheaper ones, rely on tapered wheel nuts to centre the wheel (nut centric). Ideally you need spigot rings as Chris has mentioned above and nuts to match the wheel design.
  8. It's likely to be the upstream sensor(s) fooling the downstream sensor that there is a problem.
  9. Unfortunately the CT uses different sized rims compared to other Lexus models (5x100 rather than 5x114.3 PCD)
  10. Equality if you didn't have a warranty you could have got the sliding pins replaced and glued the seal on the back of the light cluster back on. The AC fix probably would have been considerable less outside of the Lexus dealerships, all for less than the price of the warranty.
  11. I've installed a couple of Vais units, one in a GS and the other in a 400h. My 400h had an older nav unit so only the SL2i was compatible - it worked fine within the limitations of the product and having to use playlists, something that I believe the newer units don't suffer from. One annoying thing was that it uses the SCAN button to switch to a certain mode and unfortunately the UK vehicles don't have that button so that functionality wasn't available to me - again this may not be an issue for the unit you are looking at. Even with limitations, Vais units are without question the best AV accessories for Lexus vehicles - just a little expensive once you factor in shipping and import taxes.
  12. Welcome Vali :) Good luck with your import, the V300 is very nice.
  13. Welcome John. Yes I'm afraid so, Toyota seem very slow to bring out CarPlay support to their brands. What they don't understand is people have more loyalty to their tech and good user interface design than they do for their vehicles. A £600 phone can drive a decision on what £40000 vehicle to purchase. I'm assuming you are in the US? You may want to check out our sister site: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/
  14. It certainly should have beeped as you got out with the ignition on. I suspect you did turn everything off.
  15. Except the quality ones have carbon in them to remove odours. These stop being effective after a period of time.
  16. Best to take the lights out. You also get the opportunity to glue the big seal back on if it has come loose, this will stop water getting into the lights.
  17. Welcome Fred, looks like you got a good deal there. :)
  18. On a recent trip from work to home I achieved 63 mpg in my F Sport with the 18" wheels and less aero efficient body work. This is way above normal but the 13 miles was along a 50 mph roadwork section of the M3 and then some steady flowing traffic at 40 mph along some A roads. At 70 mph on the motorway I average about 47 mpg, you should get above 50 mpg in your Luxury.
  19. When tinkering did you have the vehicle in 'Ready' or just on the ignition? The 12v battery doesn't last long if you just use the ignition. Did you leave an interior light on?
  20. What's annoying is that Lexus Australia only sell around 7,000 vehicles per year yet they get more models (ES and LX) and within each model they get more choice (e.g. IS350, RC350, GS350) compared to the UK where Lexus sold 11,500 last year :megaangry:
  21. Sport mode on its own is unpredictable and suffers lag. If you use sport mode, S mode on the transmission and keep in low 'gears' then the lag is almost completely removed.
  22. 84l is the official figure. You will get some more if you include the filler neck, no guarantee the pump is 100% accurate either.
