  1. Have any of the suspension components been changed? At that mileage there would be significant wear on the original shocks and bushing which would increase braking distances etc. The main issue, like the LS, is that parts are expensive when they do need replacing.
  2. I too have the memory ventilated leather seats. Had to have the seat base replaced under warranty due to movement when braking and my dealer damaged the leather Still waiting for this to be resolved some two months later - they seem to be waiting for a new demonstrator to arrive and they will just swap over the whole seat.
  3. Why have all the coils been changed? Were genuine parts used? Do you have access to a fault code reader, it would be useful to know what error codes have been stored. Given that the parts have been replaced recently there could be an early life failure of a part or something unrelated like an injector. If an error code indicates a particular cylinder then moving the plug and coil pack would help diagnose the issue - if they are at fault the error should move to the new cylinder.
  4. Looking in the owners manual there appear to be two fuses which are probably worth pulling. Only one would be necessary but I don't have access to the wiring diagrams to confirm which one - easier just to remove both for 60 seconds: RAD No.1 15Amp in the engine bay RAD No.2 7.5Amp in the cabin
  5. The CT owners manual states the following: If SAE 0W-20 oil is not available, SAE 5W-30 oil may be used. However, it should be replaced with SAE 0W-20 at the next oil change. Therefore dealers certainly should be using 0W-20, or at least every other service otherwise you aren't conforming to the warranty requirements of the vehicle.
  6. multi codes indicating coils packs probably does mean an injector issue - should be easy to resolve. Best of luck :)
  7. Excellent :) Let's hope you continue to have an error free experience.
  8. That does look bad. I understand wanting the screen within the same field of vision as the road but that really does look like somebody has just brought a screen from Halfords and stuck it on top of the dash.
  9. DAB is typically worse for reception compared to FM on most vehicles. I've certainly seen other complaints of the FM and DAB performance of the CT.
  10. If you don't think the correct oil is being used then unless you inform somebody nothing will be done about it. Toyota almost mandate that 0w-20 is used in Toyota hybrids, there is no reason to think that that also shouldn't be stating the same to their Lexus dealers.
  11. did you speak to Lexus GB about this?
  12. It does seem you have been unlucky with this one, I've not heard of anybody reporting this before. The only thing I can suggest is a full reboot by disconnecting the power source. Typically there is a fuse marked RADIO on Lexus vehicles within the cabin fusebox, but I'm not certain on the CT. Either pull the fuse or disconnect the 12v battery for 1 minute and reconnect. If you disconnect the battery then the alarm may go off when you reconnect it so be ready to press the unlock button and/or turn on the ignition. Otherwise you may have to take a trip to your dealer.
  13. It was nice when vehicles had glass lenses rather than plastic.
  14. You can't take out an extended warranty on a vehicle with a known fault. If you aren't purchasing the warranty together with an approved Lexus used vehicle then the dealership will need to inspect it to make sure everything is working before issuing a warranty.
  15. You may want to speak to Lexus GB and see what they have to say on this subject. They are the ones that seem to have dictated the current servicing costs and I assume costs have been calculated based on using certain fluids. Using 0w-20 compared to 5w-30 should produce some benefit but 10% seems way over. As you say the fuel computer is a bit all over the place so that could account for 3% and possibly another 3% just in traffic and variations in driving from one day to another. Toyota look to achieve a 10% improvement which each hybrid generation, if 10% was made up just by the oil they wouldn't have had to do anything else between the Gen 2 and Gen 3 Prius :)
  16. Hi Rob, have a search in the IS200 forum. This has been done before via a third party module.
  17. don't know if this helps: http://lexus.catalog-online.net/eu/lexus+ls/431220/ucf20r-aeagkw/4/8420/841875/#89741 item 3 - seems to be behind the instrument cluster.
  18. how many revs does it rise? Not many GSs sold in the UK and most where hybrids, hence the lack of second hand parts available.
  19. That isn't bad. With some hybrid driving techniques I'd imagine you could achieve 34+ but sometimes it is easier not to have to think about things and just drive normally.
  20. Or just put a small 12v battery in the vehicle when you go away to use to jump it.
  21. I guess there are variations between gearboxes. My wife's old IS200 wasn't bad, it did have a bit of a notchy change though - another characteristic of that gearbox.
