  1. You should think about reporting that first garage. Glad it is all resolved :)
  2. I'd certainly aim for getting a 6 speed example. Faster, smoother and more economical. The easiest way to tell is to look at the gear shifter. The 5 speed has a conventional pattern: P R N D 4 3 L 2 The 6 speed has a manual sport mode with sequential shifting: P R N + D S - Also the shifter surround is a grey colour on the pre-facelift 5 speed vehicles and silver on the facelift models.
  3. The camera database itself is part of the mapping software rather than the system firmware, no doubt there was a difference in the maps version between your IS and NX.
  4. I haven't had any issues with the latest version of software and cameras. I've been on the latest software for several months now.
  5. Currently red is the least popular colour of all the IS300h vehicles available across all the Lexus dealers, only 16 available. Silver, white and grey are all 50+. I rarely see any red IS300h but I don't think it would affect value too much. Red interior though is a different story, you may as well just throw money on the fire.
  6. Thanks for the info. I'm assuming this is the same 102C that is available for download on the customer portal. I thought there was mention of a newer version than this, oh well.
  7. Dealer pricing tends to be all over the place for vehicles under 3 years old. Part of the reason is down to when that dealership purchased the vehicle, if it was several months ago the trade-in price would have been higher than it is today and the dealer will try and hold out for as long as possible before reducing their price. Stock will also play a factor, if they only have one of two used IS300h in stock they will price it higher.
  8. I'd look for a new dealership then if they think £10k isn't a lot of change.
  9. Haven't tried this yet. There does appear to be two different instructions, one just states put in the stick and it automatically works and the other states you should use the update function on the system - have you tried the latter? Install-Guide-Lexus-SW-19+Aug+2015.pdf
  10. Previously triggered codes are held in memory, potentially complete with freeze frame data depending on the error. Not sure if there is a counter associated but it you have had multiple errors they will each be shown at least once.
  11. You have static lines but do you have moving lines linked to the steering wheel? The display in the mirror doesn't fill the whole area, you see both.
  12. Subscribe for an hour or so at the following site to get official wiring diagrams https://www.lexus-tech.eu
  13. I assume they can feel a little play but no sign of any leak.
  14. Lexus would offer you quite a low trade-in price. I'd imagine a Premier would be put on the forecourt for around £25k so they would probably offer you £20k.
  15. It is the standard one with the rotary controller and without connected services but with the addition of a reversing camera. My understanding is the image is displayed on the main screen rather than the rear view mirror but it doesn't have the dynamic guidelines linked to the steering as you get with the premium navigation system.
  16. Yeah i seen denso ones but i have to do wiring should the lenght be an issue? I mean can i just connect and solder them to the plug? does not matter the lenght of the wire? Denso do different types - a generic one where you have to solder on the connector from your old sensor or true direct fit replacements for the IS200, the choice is yours.
  17. The difference in lead length is just to avoid the excess touching the exhaust and being damaged. If you can make sure it is secure then it is fine to use the longer cable without having to shorten it.
  18. It is rear wheel drive so yes in the wet or snow you need to be careful however IS200 really needs more power to be dangerous in the dry.
  19. Not officially no, and I don't know of anybody doing so with an IS300h. Have a look at the following website: http://www.enginer.us They have various produces to convert hybrids to PHEV but seems to be restricted to older systems. You could probably adapt one to work but you would be on your own.
  20. I don't really understand why the current IS platform wasn't used entirely for the RC-F instead of using three different chassis, including the middle section from the poor IS convertible. It would be understandable if they achieved some weight saving but the biggest failing of the RC-F is weight. Depreciation on the RC-F is high because every dealer was convinced/told to purchase one but there are no buyers so those dealers are forced to try and sell of demonstrators and pre-registered vehicles at a large discount.
