  1. I think this is available on UK vehicles, just not ones with the Premium Nav.
  2. You won't really get better than that in an F Sport at those speeds. I've had over 65 mpg on a 16 mile journey from work, 10 of those miles on a motorway with a 50 mph restriction but normally the same journey is around 50 mpg. Traffic and very small changes in your driving can make a big difference.
  3. If you have purchased a valid license from Toyota for Techsteam then you would have access to the manuals too. If you have purchased an illegal copy of the software with hacked licensing for less than 1% of the true cost of the product then this cannot be discussed here.
  4. Mine does it, my neighbour's car too. Seems to be an inherit design issue with the seal. Lexus should produce a modified one. Seems to be worse in colder weather which seems to suggest expansion in warmer weather closes up the gap.
  5. The back end is purely driven by an electric motor, if you aren't heavily accelerating or have slip on the front wheels then there will be no power applied to the rear wheels. If you are lightly braking then the electric motor is providing that braking force which is less likely to lock the wheels than the mechanical brakes and the ABS and VSC systems would stop any wheel spin from occurring within a very short space of time. I never really drove my 400h in that much snow, the one time I did it when up a hill without any issue, a hill that a lot of other cars were struggling with. The RX300 isn't exactly an off-road vehicle, I'd say the 400h is just as good.
  6. Hi Phil. Can you confirm what model and year your RX is, your profile suggests an RX450h but that is contradicted by the year 2005. Either way, a series II or series III RX would be very expensive to retro fit the nav system. You can obtain most, if not all, of the parts still from Lexus but that would cost more than just selling the vehicle and purchasing one with Nav. Even if you can find all the parts on eBay or at a breakers I'm not sure all the wiring will be in place.
  7. There should be no reason to remove it just for a service. However if you are having throttle/engine issues then it would be advisable to remove it prior to letting Lexus diagnose the issue.
  8. The reason why you cannot just measure the diameter of your wheel front is because the sizing refers to the inner diameter where the tyre fits on. There is a lip/flange on the inside and outside edge of the wheel which stops the tyre coming off. Just because a wheel will fit your tyre size it doesn't mean the wheel will fit on your vehicle. There are other measurements to take into consideration. As Mikeyv has recommended, just get an old LS wheel so you don't have to worry about offset, hub size, PCD, nut-centric or hub-centric
  9. If you don't have a warranty then going to a dealer with a hybrid battery issue is a very expensive experience, they won't do anything other than swap out the entire battery. Luckily there are people like Richard around who can get you back up and running more economically.
  10. With the premium nav. I've had it crash maybe once or twice, normally a feature stops working causing me to reboot the system. You shouldn't have to turn off the vehicle, just press and hold the stereo power button for 5 to 10 seconds and it should reboot.
  11. My vehicle was also registered on the Toyota portal, as well as Lexus, because it provided more info on service history. This could well have been the problem for me. Having said that there is documentation that states multiple accounts are supported and this was all working for me for months before I starting having problems, and it seemed to happen at the same time as the Toyota portal was upgraded to allow journeys to be created on the portal and sent to the vehicle (as you can with the Lexus portal). IE (of any version) isn't very standards compliant, I'd never recommend using it. I know many companies that won't spend the time and money developing a site to support IE. Microsoft's Edge browser is much better but I'd always recommend using Firefox or Chrome.
  12. Basically describes the issue I had. Lexus wouldn't connect me with the developers in Europe so I just gave up and created a brand new account which has now been working fine for a few months now without a single problem. This has nothing to do with your phone being an iPhone. I had the same errors depending on on whether I used a bluetooth or wifi hotspot connection, but also happened it I got the car to connect to my home wifi. It is a backend issue and seemed to occur around the same time that the Toyota side of the system got updated.
  13. Sadly it doesn't appear that Lexus have uploaded it to the portal :(
  14. The coil sprung models definitely ride worse so if you aren't happy with air suspension.... Check your tyre pressures aren't too high and possibly look to get some smaller wheels with higher profile tyres.
  15. Apple doesn't allow the sending of messages via bluetooth MAP
  16. I'd personally avoid any CT over 120k miles. There just aren't enough about with that mileage to know what long term issues there may be, the vehicles have only been on the road for 5 years. At 190k all of the suspension components must have a lot of wear and play in them, certainly compared to new, plus things like wheel bearings etc could all start to cause problems.
  17. Toyota hybrids have aggressive traction control, if the electric motors are allowed to spin without load they can be damaged and/or damage the transmission.
  18. Are you sure they aren't just disabled with the button on the drivers control panel? Or that button is faulty, or the wiring to it has become disconnected. I believe the doors all have their own fuses so I wouldn't expect three to have a problem all at the same time unless the control unit has a problem, in which case the drivers window would also have a problem. The fuse covers have the names for the fuses. The door fuses are on the footwell kick panels inside the vehicle.
  19. There is very little difference between the manual and auto IS200 in terms of mpg, the manual being very slightly better. Most of the difference is seen around town but still only a couple of mpg different. A good rule of thumb for the IS300 is a 10% drop in mpg compared to the IS200. These vehicles weren't at the cutting edge of economy when they were being sold, by today's standards they are quite poor.
  20. did your super unleaded test coincide with colder weather?
