  1. Plugs are typically changed every 60k miles. Your service manual should state the interval.
  2. Hybrids don't need any special servicing requirements so I don't see any issue using an independent. If you needed work done on the hybrid system then you might want to consider taking it to a Lexus dealer or specialist. The main reason to use a Lexus dealer is to keep the resale value high on newer vehicles or if you want to purchase the excellent Lexus extended warranty, as servicing at an authorised service centre is part of the T&Cs.
  3. I'd say they are not compatible. Use either the standard Fk20hbr11 or VFKBH20. I think Rock has it wrong.
  4. They will if you say your system has been hanging/crashing as they will perform the upgrade under warranty. Once your warranty is expired they may charge you labour for performing the upgrade.
  5. I think the dealers have been forced to keep to list price by Lexus GB - possibly breaking a bunch of UK and EU laws.
  6. If your vehicle is a 2013 model then you should have 5 year warranty for the hybrid components, therefore why have a hybrid health check done at this point? The only benefit to that is to extend the warranty beyond the standard but you have a couple of year to go before you need to do that.
  7. There should be no issue with the RX, the only thing that the iPhone restricts is the ability to reply to text messages. Contact transfer can be an issue on the older Lexus systems.
  8. It's the only one in the forum at the moment. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/forum/116-cars-for-sale/
  9. Welcome. Does it feel like the engine is misfiring in which case it could be something like a plug, coil pack or fuel injector. If not then worth making sure the engine mounts are in good condition.
  10. The nice thing about AVS is that it isn't meant to just make things stiff. With S+ mode, when cornering it increases the damping force on the loaded side to reduce body roll. In any mode AVS will constantly adjust to improve the ride and handling depending on the road surface and how it is being driven. The sport modes will increase the throttle sensitivity, hybrid battery assistance, and the weight of the steering. However it is only the 450h, with the variable gear ratio steering, where you get sharper steering as well.
  11. Welcome Neil Might be worth trying to pick up a second hand disc on eBay. Just be careful to get one compatible with your system as there are many generations of navigation unit that are incompatible with each other.
  12. It can be a bit hit or miss trying to get a vehicle to initially connect and register for some reason. After that however it is normally stable so hopefully you won't have anymore problems.
  13. I moved it into the for sale forum yesterday. Still visible just not in the GS forum anymore. Once you see this reply I'll have to move this thread, as it isn't a car for sale
  14. Do you have the correct disc inserted? Each disc has detailed information for a specific set of countries but may also contain other countries at a higher level (main roads only).
  15. Good luck if you can get a discounted plan, standard pricing is just list price of the combined services.
  16. Luckily it doesn't blink 71 times You will get seven blinks, short delay, one blink, long delay, repeat (or another error code).
  17. engine, transmission, engine mounts, ECU, at least the front exhaust section and manifold, and prop shaft. Probably some other things too. Easier to sell both and find an IS300.
  18. not 100% on the LS PCV design but some certainly do move a bit when just turning over.
  19. You can buy a Lexus extended warranty. It would need to have full service history and you have to get it serviced by a Lexus dealer during the warranty period. Some dealers may charge you an inspection fee to confirm everything is fully working at the point of taking out the warranty (to avoid people just taking out a warranty when something goes wrong), others may not charge as they are getting income from the warranty sale.
