The standard F Sport has cloth seat facings and leather look bolsters (look at the pic of the one at Leicester) which are heated. The optional perforated leather seats are heated and ventilated. Parking sensors are standard, front and rear. Parking camera is standard with the basic media system, however with the Premium Nav you also get the guidelines that move with the steering wheel on the reversing camera. The Premium Nav package has a slightly better audio system, Mark Levinson is a further upgrade on the Premium Nav. I'd say the premium nav and leather seat options are worth having, ML stereo would depend how important audio is to you. The only other option available on the F Sport is the AVS adaptive suspension - most people don't feel this adds a great deal, okay if you can find a vehicle that happens to have it but I wouldn't pay extra.

The £15k one was cheap because of the very high mileage - there won't be may of those about.

No, on the pre-facelift models (2009-2012) the SE could be selected with or without the Nav option. Without Nav there is no camera. Post facelift I'm not sure if Nav was even an option on the SE grade. There is more information on the grades here:

Only on the lowest spec, exactly the same as the NX. If the loan vehicle was the FWD variant than would also explain some of the difference in mpg compared to the NX.

This is something that affects the 400h greatly and it was thought to be resolved on the 450h but it seems the older vehicles are now at an age where the original 12v battery doesn't hold its charge as well is it once did and therefore leaving the vehicle for extended periods of time may result in starting issues.

There are well over 50 vehicles for sale at Lexus dealers. Have you looked at the used car section on their website? Nearly all the used IS300h are in the main dealer network.

It's the same vehicle essentially, in the same way the CT is an Auris. Just has different suspension, body panels and interior. The RAV is slightly lighter, the engine/hybrid tuning is different and they normally only have 17" wheels which all help in improving economy.

The cheap filters may not have carbon in them so don't remove odours.

I assume this is the cabin filter? It would have to be in a very blocked state to affect the cooling of the AC. Just remove it, give it a brush off and put it back to see if that makes a difference. The active filter needs to be changed every year or two otherwise the carbon will be saturated and will no longer remove smells. My old RX400h didn't do it, the RX450h loan cars don't and my wife's Prius doesn't. It seems to be inherent to the IS300h and GS300h. I've not had a look but they may use a different brake design compared to older models (hopefully to try and address the sliding pin seizure that has plagued Toyota models for years). It seems to be an issue with very light mechanical braking on the rear which glazes the rear pads which then causes the noise. My dealer cleaned up my pads and it resolved the issue for a few weeks and loan IS300h vehicles (100 miles on the clock) didn't have the issue either. Performing some heavy braking also seems to help clean up the pad surfaces.

As above, especially if you are talking about the drop in filter to use inside the standard airbox. Replacing the whole intake would get you more sound but very little performance/economy improvements.

It is ridiculous to suggest the IS 300h F Sport rides softer than a Prius. The Prius (series 1 to 3) doesn't give a great ride in the rear due to the old fashioned torsion beam suspension but it is still substantially softer than the IS. AVS more aimed at reducing body roll and improving handling than improving ride quality, and as others have stated the effects aren't too significant anyway over the standard F Sport suspension. Test drive an F Sport, with or without AVS, and make up your own mind. Be prepared to look for a different grade IS without the F Sport suspension and ideally 17" or 16" wheels, or at least consider putting 17" wheels on an F Sport to help soften it up a bit.

Never heard of that. Not using enough could allow the water in the pump to freeze and split the pump. I've heard of very concentrated screen wash causing issues with paintwork.

The Sport grade doesn't actually have the sports suspension, that is only on the F Sport grade.

Certainly doesn't hurt but shouldn't really be necessary if the nuts and studs are made of the same metal. More useful on the back of alloy wheels which press against steel hubs/brake discs.

The T&Cs may have changed as Lexus now use a different underwriter for the warranty but the current one allows pro-rata refunds if you wish to cancel the policy, provided you haven't made a claim. It also allows transfer to a new keeper of the vehicle for an admin fee of £25, essentially as a private sale. You cannot transfer to a trader so Lexus were correct. The previous owner should have terminated the warranty and received a refund.

Make sure you replace the stud. Probably part 90942-02070 but get your dealer to double check. Should only be a a couple of £

If it's a factory sensor then these normally come out easily, anti seize compound is put in the thread. The Denso replacements always come with a small amount of compound too. Never had a problem with any O2 sensor on a Toyota/Lexus vehicle.

Timing belt interval was 100k miles but Lexus revised it, after many belts were getting worn/failing, to 60k miles. The cause seems to be failure in the tensioner which causes the belt to rub. Just inspect the belt to see if it is getting thinner.
