    Either way insist they do something, it's too dangerous to have it fail when driving. There isn't much to the system, the switch assembly contains the electronics, a relay or two, and the motor - they should check the wiring and start to replace the items if they cannot reproduce the fault.

    Sounds like a plug, coil pack, or fuel injector issue but not serious enough yet to make an easy diagnosis. Other than swapping the plug with another one, and a coil pack to a different cylinder to the plug there isn't much you can do - if the fault occurs again then the cylinder at fault will give you an indication on which component is failing.

    All 300h have the same brakes and can therefore take 17" wheels. The Lux 450h also has the smaller brakes so 17" wheels will fit

    I'm sure the two aren't related in any way but part of the test is making sure there are no active error codes stored in the ECU.

    That isn't the latest firmware though - not sure you can access the latest one in the same way and Lexus haven't published it on the owners portal either so the only way to get it is via a dealer - or possibly paid subscriptions to Lexus Tech.

    More than expected. The 12v batteries on the hybrid vehicles aren't large (because it isn't used for starting the engine as it is with non-hybrids) so won't typically last more than 3 to 4 weeks standing. Best to either disconnect the battery or use a trickle charger if leaving for more than 2 weeks. Lead acid batteries don't like being completely discharged either, they will loose some capacity so you end up in a downwards spiral of less and less time before it becomes discharged.

    I can only think the coolant is contaminated with engine oil or transmission fluid. I would check the levels of both engine and transmission. I suspect the radiator/pipe work had a knock during the work done by your mechanic and it has damaged the transmission oil cooler inside the radiator and it is leaking transmission fluid into the coolant. It is very important that you don't draw coolant into the transmission so I wouldn't use the vehicle again, or possible disconnect the transmission pipes going to/from the radiator and join them together - bypassing the cooler in the radiator.

    Some dealers can be a bit funny about this and want to charge. Best to say there is an issue, like freezing or not connecting correctly to your phone, so the upgrade can be performed under warranty.

    They can be repaired but should be x-rayed to make sure there are no fractures - which probably means it will go above your budget. These wheels are quite rare, be careful with eBay as most will be damaged wheels people are trying to get rid of unless someone is selling a full set from a scrapped car.

    Check the coolant to see if it looks clean or contains transmission fluid in there. Also get someone to put it in drive, with the brakes on, rev the engine just a little and see if you can see fluid coming out under the vehicle.

    The IS300 engine has just a single belt (2JZ-GE engine), make sure you are looking at the IS200 engine procedures in the manual (1G-FE engine code).
