  1. What has been done to the auto levelling feature? HID lights will have this feature, halogen lights will not.
  2. If I'm on a long motorway run taking it easy with the flow of traffic at an indicated 75 mph speed then I get around 32 mpg. Just shorter journeys around 24 mpg, and having fun <20 mpg.
  3. If your warranty won't cover it then look for a front end damaged 400h at a breakers.
  4. Hi Steve Check for water ingress in the rear light clusters and boot. If you have a sunroof then it is worth opening it and pouring water around the edge cutter and make sure it drains away and comes out underneath the vehicle. Also check the underside for corrosion and possibly consider added extra underseal.
  5. The cheap mini-vci adapters are fine for fault code reading and setting customisation settings but don't always work quickly enough for real-time engine diagnostics. Obviously we cannot condone the use of hacked software for which you don't have a license to use from Toyota.
  6. At launch the range for the 450h was Luxury, F Sport, and Premier. I doubt you will find a Premier in that price range, but the Luxury is well equipped. There was an SE grade but only available as a GS 250 SE.
  7. It looks nice, but that is pushing series IV money which is a massive improvement over the series III IMO.
  8. Sensor 1 is upstream, before cats, and sensor 2 is downstream, after cats. Bank refers to which side of the engine, for the 400h B1 is nearest the windscreen:
  9. 1. Yes the two come together - both features utilise the same radar detectors installed inside the rear wings/bumper. 2. I believe for UK vehicles the LDA feature comes with steering control - note this isn't Lane Keep Assist which is meant to keep the vehicle within the centre of a lane, it will give a small pull on the wheel if you cross a white line without indicating first.
  10. Hi Michael Where are you based? If you are in the US then you may wish to join our US forum to get better feedback on US specific features: https://us.lexusownersclub.com Sirius XM is satellite radio (a bit like Sky TV here in the UK but for radio). I believe a subscription is needed to listen, in addition to the Sirius receiver. We don't have this in the UK as we have both national and regional radio stations transmitted from ground stations in FM and Digital Audio Broadcast (DAB). Lexus Enform is a safety feature that can automatically call 911 in an accident and provide your location, plus a few other features. LoJack is a tracking system. Lexus vehicles have an alarm and immobiliser fitted as standard but not a tracker. Lexus Enform can be used as a basic tracker but can be defeated and the police don't have direct access to it as they do with LoJack. All of the above are US feature/products, they aren't available in the UK. AVS is variable suspension. Standard suspension is a compromise between performance and comfort. AVS allows this to be adjusted, in theory softer than standard in comfort settings and hard in sports settings. Most people don't really notice enough difference to justify the expense. You really need to drive vehicles with/without AVS to form your own opinion.
  11. This is an issue that has been discussed a few times on these forums. There seem to be two or three potential causes, which an auto electrical should be able to easily narrow down by monitoring the current draw from the battery whilst removing fuses. Potential causes that seem specific to the SC430 are: fault stereo amplifier auto headlamp setting poor battery terminal clamps
  12. For both banks to come on around the same time would indicate to me that it probably isn't a cat issue. Possibly an issue with the intake system, a dirty MAF sensor or vacuum leak for example. Worth getting the an OBDII system connected to check out the operation of other sensors and the short & long term fuel trims which may indicate a problem.
  13. It is odd. All the pictures I've seen of the pad part codes on the web have Brembo written on the back and a tube of Brembo grease in the box.
  14. IS F mesh wheels became a zero cost option in 2010, but I doubt many were specified with them.
  15. You need to be careful with their website, it implies they stock greenstuff pads which makes no sense for an F as they are designed for small, light, and low powered vehicles. Brakeshop.co.uk show yellowstuff as being available.
  16. The OEM pads show as having a friction material of Galfer 5032. Not sure if that means Brembo use Galfer material or they get Galfer to make the pads for them. Nothing else uses those pads, the LS460 may be the same size but different material is used.
  17. Are these the same as OEM or a different friction material?
  18. Regarding the pipe, not sure where I should be looking but there as certainly different layouts between LHD and RHD, the AUS layout would be very similar but may have a different emissions setup. You can reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery for a minute.
  19. ECU reset will affect gearbox learning but it should be back to normal within a week. Here is a UK picture of an RC which should be the same
  20. Also check the windscreen in case it isn't bonded correctly. Get a passenger to press it along the edges whilst travelling at speed to see if the noise changes.
  21. It should be good for six months. I would make sure it has as high a charge as you can manage but this doesn't really matter as the battery has a lot more capacity than what is shown to the driver on the hybrid charge indicator.
