  1. I think the press start to activate is just it thinking you want to drive off again, just ignore. Carista, Techstream, other settings apps, or your dealer should be able to enable global opening - it is disabled by default as people sit on the keys and go out to their car and discover all the windows open in the rain 😞 Unfortunately you cannot enable it via the in-vehicle settings.
  2. It's a positive, stops the kids trying to kick each other
  3. You can check yourself using toyodiy.com The rear section part code is 17430-70740, and if you search that part code only two vehicles are listed, the IS200 and IS300, no Corolla.
  4. Brembo are like most manufacturers, they make different products to suit different budgets. I see similar comments with regards to tyres, people dislike their cheap OEM tyres on their Lexus and then state they will never buy Bridgestone or whoever as if all their tyres are of equal quality.
  5. Engage the parking brake before you take your foot off the main brakes, then you won't get any resistance.
  6. Mid to high 40s with an F Sport. High 40s to low 50s with a Luxury.
  7. That's certainly the case for the RC F and GS F, and I assume the IS F too. However it isn't always the case. Toyota do stipulate time as well as mileage against plugs for some models.
  8. If you have an extended warranty then you HAVE to get it serviced at Lexus otherwise it will invalidate the warranty. Additional services in-between the official intervals are fine but not as an alternative to an official one.
  9. Slight difference on the front and mid sections, the rear box is the same. If you are getting a custom made exhaust then there should be no price difference between an RX300 and RX400h.
  10. Officially it isn't a option provided by Lexus GB. Some dealers know that you can order spare parts and fit them, some either don't know or aren't willing to do so.
  11. Nope. Possibly you will get to enter a destination whilst moving if you don't have that already but you really won't get much else other than a more up to date map.
  12. Given that from the screenshot you clearly have an illegal license for the software this conversation goes no further on these forums.
  13. Indeed, the dynamic range of many modern recordings is very low and all pushed up to maximum levels. Slightly useful in vehicles as road noise masks low levels but it is to the detriment of the overall musical experience.
  14. Agreed, but the compressor wouldn't turn off after only a few seconds though.
  15. For the 1% of owners that use manual mode, the fake sound is useful.
  16. Against a 5 series of similar age the Lexus will be better spec'd unless all the options were selected on the BMW.
  17. It is probably the brake accumulator electric pump pressurising the system and is perfectly normal.
  18. You can also fill up with petrol at your local station and just drive off without paying - saves a fortune if you don't mind being a thief or committing fraud and tax evasion.
  19. You should select courier rather than post. You pay all the taxes and import up front which will probably work out cheaper and you will get the part in a couple of days.
  20. P&G is an extreme form where you accelerate to a higher speed than desired, come off the accelerator and then lightly touch it so neither the ICE or electric motors are running so you just glide, and allow the speed to slowly reduce until you are going below your desired speed, then repeat. Not really a recommended method, especially in the UK where you are going to upset the drivers behind you.
