  1. Depending on which ICE system you have there is either a DVD player under the drivers seat, or one of the rear screen units has a DVD player. The front DVD system has no connection to the rear, completely independent systems.
  2. All series III GS450h have an LSD.
  3. Nice, unfortunately the IS doesn't have this.
  4. Looks like a surface coating of some sort to me and doesn't seem an issue.
  5. The IS doesn't have auto recirculation based on air quality, I didn't think the RC has that either. Is there a three way option on the recirculate button including auto?
  6. Selling it and buying a petrol model is the only sensible option. The hybrid system starts the vehicle and powers it in reverse gear. You would need to add a stater motor and alternator to the engine, an automatic transmission, new ECU, new wiring looms etc. etc.
  7. Not on Toyota/Lexus UK vehicles, all service manuals I've seen state that at 60 mph, if the speedo reads 60 mph then it is faulty and should be replaced.
  8. Very common. Typically it sees an 80 km/h sticker on the back of a truck.
  9. I use a Brodit air vent mounted holder on my GS.
  10. Not a common issue. If the engine was fine then it points towards something external such as turbo or oil cooler. It could possibly be a leak at the front of the engine which drips onto the belt and thrown everywhere.
  11. Not sure, all the part codes changed and the new feature outline just states "the speakers adopted for the Mark Levinson premium surround sound system have been changed" Will see if I can find out some more detail.
  12. no, if it is a 2010 vehicle it may just have the Torsen LSD change along with the steering wheel, no suspension changes. The suspension changes came in 2011, totally revised again in 2012, and then tweaked some more in 2013.
  13. It is very rare for Toyota to pre-wire anything, they typically have grade specific looms for all their vehicles, doesn't matter if it has a T or an L badge. Looking on toyodiy.com there is a specific loom for IS300h with auto rear view mirror so I doubt you will find a multiplug.
  14. NemesisUK and rayanns are the winners. Beading is bad for your paintwork; the water, and contaminants, are in touch with the surface for a very long time as it takes an age for the bead to evaporate, damaging the top coat, and once if finally does dry you are left with water marks. Products that sheet the water and let it run off are superior.
  15. The Aristo V300 is very nice, essentially a saloon version of the Supra TT.
  16. Ideally you should use an AGM battery on the RX450h not a standard flooded battery.
  17. I suspect you have a blown fuse or two. Something like the MPX-B or Gauge fuse, but check all of them, engine bay and cabin fuse boxes.
  18. Turn off the heating system and just use the seat heaters, that way petrol engine won't cut in just to keep the coolant hot.
  19. It is normal, not a hybrid thing but a petrol engine thing - although most Toyota/Lexus vehicles seem more prone than other manufacturers for some reason.
  20. sounds about right. You obviously have the main engine/transmission ECU which is the one most people mean when they just state ECU but almost every other system has its own ECU. e.g. there is one for each door windows and power locks), tyre pressure warning ecu , reversing sensor ecu, skid control ecu, steering wheel tilt/reach ecu, shift lock control ecu, cooling fan ecu, power management control ecu etc. etc.
  21. Yes, the alarm will draw something but it shouldn't be enough to cause an issue for normal use, plus your car insurance may not be valid if you were to leave it unlocked/unalarmed.
  22. If that really is the drain then you have an issue with your vehicle. The actual drain should be less than 0.05 A. I suspect that the reading was taken shortly after locking the vehicle, before the systems fully shutdown which can take 10+ minutes to do.
  23. I believe the TSB is: CP-0082L-0614 Vibration and droning noise when driving Your dealer could have spend 20 seconds searching the TSB database for that rather than just fobbing you off. I really don't get how Lexus scores so highly on customer satisfaction sometimes 😞
