I believe the correct part code is 89428-20110 You could try a Toyota dealer as the part is used on several models. Otherwise very cheap ones available from China, or cheaper than Toyota from RockAuto

No I believe they build vehicles for North America, they don't export.

totally normal.

No excuse for a German manufacturer. With Lexus the wait is getting a slot on the boat - the vehicles are built to order but it only takes 48 hours from start to finish.

If you have changed the MAF then you want to reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery to make it learn the long term trims faster than normal. A spray bottle with soapy water will help find air leaks - spray over the vacuum pipes / throttle body etc. and listen for a change in idle speed/sound. If you have the vehicle in Park, press the accelerator to get the engine to run and shift the transmission to Neutral which should keep the engine running, otherwise google rx400h inspection mode which will keep the engine running. Idle speed of around 1000 rpm is correct, it helps with charging the batteries. P0420 and P0430 is almost never the result of a faulty downstream sensor - it is working correctly to detect the efficiency problem. If it goes faulty then either another error code is produced or efficiency issues go unnoticed.

What is disappointing is the brochure you have, that was released before the final spec of the ES in the UK was known, is still the current one, even though there are errors in it. Whilst there is a big disclaimer at the end stating that there may be errors and that the spec listed doesn't constitute a sales offer, it really should be withdrawn until a replacement has been published. We are seeing a lot more manufacturers going with synthetic leather, not just for cost savings but for ethical reasons where owners want an alternative and Telsa have gone to the extreme of not offering any real leather options in their vehicles. But what is odd is that the new Toyota Camry comes with leather as standard on both trim grades, on a vehicle that costs quite a bit less than the ES.

Recommended Dealerships Lexus ISF

Use the Lexus website to find used vehicle at all the official dealerships. There is only 1 in the country - in Guildford. https://usedcars.lexus.co.uk/en/home Most will appear as private sales or independent dealerships so autotrader is worth looking at - you can set an alert to be notified is a new one is put up for sale. -
This definitely sounds like a fault rather than a setting. Do you have a volt meter - can you measure the 12v battery voltage in the morning before starting the vehicle to see if the battery is holding a good charge? Could be as simple as the voltage is dropping very low when the engine is being cranked which is resetting the AC system. Worth getting a scan tool connected to read any error codes that are stored in the climate control system - that would help narrow down the issue. I assume you don't have any warranty left on the vehicle?

Smoke coming from driver's side aircon vents?
ColinBarber replied to Blathers's topic in Lexus IS200 / Lexus IS300 Club
How quickly does it start to come out from when the engine is started? Is it steam rather than smoke, which may indicate a leak in the interior heater matrix? -
yeah quite rare, there were only around 1,800 IS300s sold in the UK compared to 34,000 IS200s. Hopefully a new boss can be welded on easily if the pipe is in good condition.

The IS200 uses a different part. Being a sportcross doesn't make a difference, so one that will fit an IS300 saloon is ok but not the IS200. I believe the original part code is 17410-46580

Just get one that fits your budget and specification level, there aren't any fundamental issues with any of them. I'd always recommend to get one as young as possible, all other things being equal, as things wear with age as well as mileage. The 2009 facelift was mainly cosmetic, with minor tweaks to the engine, to improve emissions rather than anything noticeable to the driver, and minor suspension tweaks. The 2011 revisions were similar too - minor upgrades to the spec levels and tweaks to meet emission standards of the time.
-
I'd normally question why unless you have a modified engine however it may be cheaper than a standard replacement. Just make sure it has a built-in oil cooler for the transmission (which they seem to do) and make sure you use pre-mixed Toyota coolant, that won't react with the aluminium. The Mishimoto one is for an IS300 - not sure if they do one for the RX and I wouldn't recommend using the high pressure cap if it comes with one, standard pressure is fine and better for your stock hoses and thermostat.

With that many errors I'd question if there is an electric issue causing multiple sensor problems. I'd check the battery is ok, and the earth connection and straps. Worth disconnecting the battery just to reset everything.

Apple Carplay for Lexus NX
ColinBarber replied to bartolini9's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
The headunit and nav systems are different in different regions. The NX uses Panasonic, Pioneer, or Fujitsu Ten stereo systems - multiple different part codes for each manufacturer. You cannot use US firmware on a UK unit. -
If you read the VSC error code you will probably find it is C1201/51 which means there is an ECU malfunction/error which puts the VSC system into a failsafe non-operating mode. Fix the engine issue and the VSC error will clear. If the issue is power/battery related then check your earth straps are in good condition. Test for 12v on an engine sensor and use the block as a ground to make sure the engine sensors are getting a good supply.
