  1. SE doesn't mean Special Edition with Lexus has it is a grade given to launch configurations, typically the second grade up after S or no designation. S - Standard SE - Standard Executive SE-L - Standard Executive with Lux pack
  2. As a guide self-discharge rate on a lead-acid battery is around 5% per month at room temperatures (less if colder, more if hotter). You don't really want it to discharge more than 50% to avoid risk of damage, so up to 10 months is possible although at that point you will need to charge it before it would start a vehicle. AGM batteries are better at this, maybe losing 2 to 3% per month.
  3. What's 10 years between friends 🙂 Now corrected.
  4. If it is a UK dealer record, or even Lexus GB, then probably not worth wasting your time looking at. Put your chassis number here to get a proper build list: https://www.lexus-tech.eu/euro5search/VehicleSpecifications (although appears to be down at the moment 😞 )
  5. End 2004 Revised suspension. ETA and voice recognition on Nav system. Bluetooth hands free End 2005 (face-lift) 6 speed transmission Adaptive Front-lighting System New design grille, bumper, headlamps, indicators and fog lights. LED rear lights New 18" alloy wheel design
  6. You have ML. It is on the build sheet for your vehicle. Audio Am/fm 1-dvd 17sp (emv,ml)
  7. Should be possible to get a generic power supply that will work. What are the rating written on the transformer DC voltage and current? Post a picture if possible.
  8. Not heard many SC, GS or LS 430 owners with the 6-speed talk about changing the fluid but can't hurt, especially on a 14 year old car. Obviously just draining the pan is only going to change about 1/3 of the fluid so you may want to do it multiple times to make a real difference.
  9. Not really sure why it wouldn't be. It is just a key in a different form factor, programmed the same way, and the mechanical key part cut the same way. They are very expensive though. Use a different dealer if unwilling to help, or purchase a blank one for a vehicle that comes with one as standard and find an independent to program it for you. Don't be tempted to purchase one cheaper from the US or Japan, they don't work with European vehicles due to using a different radio frequency.
  10. Really, I liked the UX loaner I had. Definitely quieter than my old IS F Sport due to smaller/narrower tyres.
  11. can't tell where the sounds is coming from. If under the bonnet then possibly the brake booster pump. If inside then it may be an air diverter motor stuck/noisy. Turn on the heating system and change the airflow from windscreen to feet etc to see if it happens again. It goes higher pitched when the vehicle gets into 'Ready' mode and the 12v is supplied by the hybrid system and not the 12v aux battery (which may be low on charge) so more power is getting to whatever is making the noise.
  12. radar and PCS were an option, not standard on the Premier grade. I think the screen can be taken out of split screen mode?
  13. I think the wrong part got in the supply chain or picked incorrectly on the manufacturing line. I've seen pictures of other IS300h battery compartments where black electrical tape is over this area to cover it up. There may well be a TSB about this - will have to look some time.
  14. Depending on the model you can get to the rears by crawling under the car, undo the bolt and take out, re-lube, and put back one at a time. No jacking up or taking wheels off. Fronts you may be able to do just putting the steering on full lock. Certainly easy on the RX, not sure about the IS.
  15. Rockauto have some on clearance for 23p for all 12 exhaust seals and inlet set at normal price for £9.89. The same part is used on nearly every Toyota engine but the OEM ones seem quite expensive.
  16. Premium Unleaded is the term used for standard 95 RON petrol in this country.
  17. It definitely doesn't need it. May run a little smoother with higher octane fuel and slightly more mpg, but on my old GS430 the difference wasn't anywhere near covering the extra cost.
  18. they don't need physical access. https://blog.lexus.co.uk/lexus-hybrid-health-check-2/
  19. easier to press the screen when the brightness/contrast settings are displayed. press top left, then press bottom left three times.
