Yes the offset piece is correct because it is just referring to the rim. You haven't change the rim offset or width so it is in exactly the same place as before. You can see from the diagram the tyre new tyre is taller, 16mm. 215 mm x 45% = 97 mm 205 mm x 55% = 113 mm. Difference is 16 mm on the side wall. Therefore the diameter of the tyre will be 32 mm different. The vehicle will be 16 mm higher and the gap to the wheel arch will be 16 mm less.

Car battery warranties are borderline useless. They will always claim it was overcharged or allowed to be discharged below a level where damage has occurred. The only way to get success is to purchase via a good retailer who will swap it for you. Halfords state the following isn't covered - which is basically everything bar an obvious manufacturing defect that would show up within months not years: What isn't covered by the guarantee? The following may cause your battery to become damaged. As these issues are not manufacturing defects, they aren't covered by the guarantee: Sulphation: This tends to happen if your vehicle isn't driven for extended periods. Deep cycling: This can happen if the vehicle's engine is started very frequently or electrical consumers are left on for extended periods between journeys. Overcharging: This is usually caused by a fault in the vehicle's charging system. Physical damage: This can be caused by incorrect handling or storage. Incorrect application: Make sure you're using the battery that Halfords recommends for your vehicle! Wear and tear caused by misuse.

June 9th - 2021 Lexus IS

Lexus has never had a larger market share in the UK as it does now so they probably feel they are on the right track. Individual opinion on these forums isn't from their target demographic. Lexus is never going to be mainstream, not whilst the 10% import tariff from Japan to Europe exists on vehicles (actually I think it is 9.2% now but will take 12 more years for it to disappear completely). Just too difficult to be competitive and provide the vehicle range and options that people are looking for. -
That would still be 5% out. You would need to go down to 175/55 to be the same be the same - which you wouldn't want to do and probably too narrow for the rim. If you are looking to improve the ride comfort then 15" or 16" rims are the way to go.

That is nearly a 7% increase in circumference - normally more than is acceptable to keep the speedo/odometer within spec. Although it would actually make the speedo nearer to actual speed rather than reading over by design.

Lexus GS300H 2016 front passenger shock leaking
ColinBarber replied to Zeeshan's topic in Brakes & Suspension
If you aren't replacing with an OEM shock then you really need to purchase two and change both fronts to avoid uneven handling, especially on the front. Even replacing like for like at 73k miles, I'd do both as the performance between old and new will be noticeable. -
If it is water then normal, if it is actual coolant then you have a problem.

take a look at the Grom VL2 if you already have nav in your vehicle. https://gromaudio.co.uk/lexus-toyota-2010-2012-grom-vline-infotainment-system-upgrade-video-interface-lex6.html or cheaper Vlite. The system seems to be a bit unreliable at present, a few members here have had issues with stability whilst the manufacturer fixes bugs.

otherwise, spend €3 on an hour access to the wiring diagrams for your vehicle. https://www.lexus-tech.eu

Before going to all that hassle, have you considered a flat cable that can be routed around the glovebox/centre console to the USB socket? I use this method which has the benefit of giving me connected audio rather than having to use Bluetooth.

The OEM parts are good quality. If you are happy with them then why not just go with them again. You can get front discs and pads for £100 here which is good value: https://www.lexuspartsdirect.co.uk/parts/category/lexus-ct/lexus-ct-2010-onwards/lexus-ct-brakes-transmission/ Cheaper parts are probably going to be fine. The CT isn't that heavy or powerful. The only thing I'd be mindful of is the transition from electric braking to mechanical braking should be seamless - if you get new pads/discs with an aggressive bite you are going to feel that transition more than with OEM.

You need to measure the distance from the front of the wheel/tyre to the wheel arch as if you make the offset less positive, or beyond that to negative, then the wheel will stick out more. Legally you cannot go beyond the bodywork. If you change the width of the wheel then that will alter the offset value so it isn't a question that can be answered without knowing what you are looking to achieve. There are calculators online that will help. Here is one: https://www.willtheyfit.com

What do you think of this ?

Plenty of SC430s that are 15 years old - very rare to see posts of roof issues on these forums. -
The standard wheels are: PCD 114.3 mm 225/45R17. 17x8JJ. 45 mm offset 245/45R17. 17x8JJ. 45 mm offset 225/40/18. 18x8JJ. 45 mm offset 255/40/18. 18x8.5JJ. 50 mm offset

I use Bosch superfit brake grease for the pins, side and back of the pads. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bosch-Superfit-Permanent-Brake-Component-Lubricant-Copper-Grease-Alternative-/371310616796

The originals have different spring/shocks part code due to supporting different weights between the models but they physically are the same. Adjustable Coilovers will fit both petrol and diesel.

I doubt it will be mentioned but I would expect it does. I can only suggest trying to tune into an existing DAB+ broadcast to see if it works.
