The GS F was always limited in the numbers Lexus expected to sell in the UK. The LC has had around 400 sold to date in the UK. The LS hasn't sold more than 100 in any year since 2009 and only 26 in 2019. The numbers are always better on facelift years but many of those are demonstrators and press vehicles which inflate the figures.

Which Service?
ColinBarber replied to Matthew Ayres's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
The vehicle is meant to be serviced every 10,000 miles or 12 month - whichever comes first. If you have any warranty then you need to adhere to the schedule otherwise it is obviously your choice. Remember though that some items degrade with time as well as mileage. Have you thought about not going to Lexus? An independent would probably do a full 40k service and MOT for £300. -
It is perfectly clear as your .gov link states. You cannot use a hand-held device unless you have hands-free access, such as: a bluetooth headset voice command a dashboard holder or mat a windscreen mount Whether you have a hand-held in a mount or an in-built sat nav, the rules around driving without due care and attention still apply. The link you provided on your initial post states the device is only compatible with ES/IS/LS/NX. Is there another one that has CT compatibility, did they confirm it would also work in the CT or did you just take a chance? The RX and GS are also missing from the list - I wonder if it will work with them.

Lexus NOT connected services

that app must get some heavy use 😉 -
probably just the fuel pump/injectors, rare for the valve clearances to need adjusting on these engines. Direct injection engines are always tappy.

Roof bars
ColinBarber replied to Burroo 67's topic in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club
I assume you have the standard rails on your vehicle? If so then bars that clamp to the rails are readily available. e.g. https://www.halfords.com/motoring/roof-bars-roof-boxes/roof-bars/halfords-raised-rail-steel-roof-bars-set-r2-726319.html Thule do a number of different types, but are quite expensive. If you plan to keep the bars on all the time then it is worth getting the more aerodynamic ones to cut down on wind noise. e.g. https://www.thule.com/en-gb/roof-rack/car-roof-racks/thule-evo-wingbar-_-711xxx?car=lexus-rx+300%2f400+(mk.ii)-5dr-suv-_-h5kr -

I think it is only available as a complete bracket with rubber. -
If you are struggling to see the oil level on the dipstick then purchase some clear silicone tubing (4 mm o/d), cut it to a length 10cm over the dip stick length. Lay the tubing and dipstick down, with the bottom ends level with each other and with a permanent pen mark low, high and the top of the dipstick on the tubing. Then feed the tubing into the dipstick tube, stopping at the mark for the top of the dipstick, place your finger over the end of the tubing and pull out. The oil should be clearly visible in the tube which indicates the level, then place back over the dipstick tube and release your finger to allow the oil to drain out.

6 year is only free for TVs and passive speakers. For other items you can purchase the extended guarantee for about 10% of the item purchase price - and you get your money back if you don't claim within the 6 years.

Toyota Aygo - Retro-fitting a reversing camera?
ColinBarber replied to PCM's topic in Lexus Owners Club Lounge
What ones did you purchase? -
You don't necessarily just want to have wheels the aligned to standard spec - which is why you need someone who knows what they are doing. Lexus have been known to get it wrong before, especially with the series I IS200 where Tony at WIM came up with corrected settings which Lexus GB then adopted.

SatNav update for my IS300h 2013 model
ColinBarber replied to Amir_hmn2002's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
I believe the PW675-00A43 code is correct. The description on the IS being 2014 onwards is because it is an American site and the IS launched mid-year as a MY2014 vehicle. -
It can be corrected by adjusting the toe angle however you need to find somewhere that really knows what they are doing. e.g. wheels in motion in Buckinghamshire.
-
I don't believe so. You either need to purchase the quarter panel and cut off the bit you need, or fabricate from sheet steel.

What are the part codes on your current SD card? Do you fill up with fuel and drive off without paying? We don't allow discussions of theft on these forums. -

Can't be every 25k considering the vehicle is only serviced at 10k intervals. -
If your vehicle has this functionality then it is a setting on the mirror control - you don't need a dealer to enable/disable.

Toyota Aygo - Retro-fitting a reversing camera?
ColinBarber replied to PCM's topic in Lexus Owners Club Lounge
You can get wireless cameras that display on a rear view mirror. Saves running a cable from camera to dashboard. No idea how good they are though - e.g. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wireless-Reverse-Waterproof-Reversing-Installation-T1400W-U/dp/B072KR8GMB?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_2 If you want to replace the existing stereo then you can put in something more modern that supports Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, many of these headunits accept a reversing camera input. e.g. https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/in-car-receivers-players/xav-ax1000 along with a reversing camera: https://www.halfords.com/technology/parking-sensors/echomaster-reversing-camera-with-dynamic-parking-lines-825346.html -

ColinBarber replied to davyjp's topic in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club
yes, but that isn't an orderable part that shows up on the parts catalogue. I suspect it is a sub-component part which isn't available on its own. When you google search that part, the only results that come up are breakers selling used parts who have assumed that is the correct part code. -
Testing the hybrid system
ColinBarber replied to Anthony B's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Yes, as is the hybrid battery. But if you have an extended warranty then this whole conversation is moot as you have to get your vehicle serviced at least once a year at a Lexus dealership under the terms of the warranty and therefore you are getting the hybrid health check done anyway.
