  1. That makes more sense, imports are unlikely to have one fitted. They are fitted as standard to UK vehicles to help with the insurance category.
  2. You are better off finding a transmission specialist which experience of the GS transmission. Most Lexus dealers wouldn't have touched one.
  3. The keys themselves aren't programmable. Each has its own unique rolling code sequence. It is the vehicles ECU that is programmed to accept the key.
  4. It's quite rare to see a P100D and then you don't know if the owner has paid the extra for the Ludicrous mode but even the 'slow' ones are seriously quick. I remembering seeing a few at Wings & Wheels where owners can launch their vehicles down the runway. The Teslas were noticeable quicker away from the line than any of the Lamborghini, Porsche, Ferrari, McLaren etc.
  5. All UK series II RXs have a Thatcham cat 1 alarm which includes an interior sensor.
  6. Cannot see what model it was and you don't know what mode he had it in but I'd suggest he wasn't even trying.
  7. You can use Techstream, you need an existing master key. If you purchase the cable then you should use the official software and pay for using it on a timed basis here: https://www.lexus-tech.eu/DiagnosticTools/Requirements/GTS We don't allow the discussion of using the pirated copy you get with the cable on these forums. Make sure you get a spare key that works for UK vehicles. For example a key from the US uses a different radio frequency and won't work with your vehicle.
  8. I'd recommend going somewhere that is known for really understanding wheel alignment such as WIM: https://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk
  9. Maybe not in Manchester but in the southeast we had the third highest temperature in the UK on record at the end of July, the hottest day in August for 17 years, at least a week where the max temperature was above 30 deg C, 5 nights in a row where the temp didn't fall below 20 deg C at night, two weeks without any rainfall etc.
  10. you also get the added benefit of being able to open your doors in the winter rather than being frozen shut 🙂
  11. I believe they we added to the UK vehicles in 2011, certainly the 2009 and 2010 models don't have them.
  12. Lexus have and always will offer very low figures for an F as trade-in.
  13. Sounds like you have way too much slack in the chain. Take a look at the video linked to in this post which shows how much play he has, which appears to be 2 or 3 mm, and it also shows you the tensioner - you should check how far your one has extended.
  14. CT used to sell well, now the UX is out selling it 3.5 to 1. Rumours of a smaller SUV than the UX will be the CT replacement.
  15. But a comparable CX-30 isn't £30k it is £34.6k once you add on 4WD and an auto gearbox. It's residuals aren't as good, nor is the economy so over a few year they are almost the same cost to own. The CX-30 compares to the Toyota C-HR with the 2l engine that the UX has. But the again the Toyota has better residuals, better economy and performance.
  16. Welcome Phil, nice of you to join the club 🙂
  17. I'm assuming the disk not appearing correctly is disk0 in disk manager? Just right click in the left box (where it has the text) and select import.
  18. I'm only aware of two diffs for UK vehicles, standard and LSD - they both are 43:11. If you get one from an imported Toyota Altezza AS200 then that will likely have a 43:10 ratio (4.3). Imported Altezza RS200s can have either 43:10 or 41:10 ratios with LSD or 43:10 standard.
  19. estimated UK pricing here, and on the Lexus web site: https://media.lexus.co.uk/2020/08/lexus-opens-online-reservations-for-the-all-electric-ux-300e-compact-suv/ Assuming the Government grant is still available then pricing would be £3k less.
  20. IS200 manual 43:11 (3.900) IS200 auto 41:10 (4.100) IS300 43:12 (3.583)
