  1. I believe Lexus only have a catloc available for the CT or RX Series II as those are ones mainly targeted at the moment. The video is for the 200t variant of the NX, slightly different to the 300h.
  2. Standard thread on the crank pulley bolt I believe. It is the drive belt tensioner pulley bolt that is reverse thread.
  3. From the system description: "After running for approximately 20 minutes, if the tire pressure warning light blinks and then comes on after that, the initialization has not been completed normally, so it is necessary to re-initialize"
  4. Correct. Each one transmits every 1.5 minutes when the wheel isn't moving, or every 15 seconds if it is. Batteries are meant to last 10 years.
  5. highly unlikely to be due to corrosion on the inside - most people will service their vehicle at Lexus who use pre-mixed Toyota pink SLL coolant. The LS430 failures where we have pictures of on these forums from are joint failures or external corrosion on the connectors. e.g.
  6. Yes I don't disagree but that wasn't what I was saying. A hybrid health check isn't part of the service schedule for the vehicle - i.e. you don't have to have it done to maintain your manufacturer's warranty (the new car warranty not an extended warranty) irrespective of whether Lexus dealers do it or not. If you go to an independent then they don't really have the ability to perform a hybrid health check but can still maintain your vehicle and keep the warranty valid.
  7. https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/warranty/manufacturer-warranty/ You mentioned the UK above, Toyota, and the Lexus corner of the office, operate as Toyota GB - the warranty may be the same in NI too but I don't know. Obviously the website may change over time so here is a quote from it: THE BENEFITS OF LEXUS WARRANTY From last-minute business trips to weekends away, the Lexus manufacturer’s warranty ensures that every trip runs smoothly. With 60,000 miles cover for mechanical faults and five-year warranty for both hybrid components and hybrid battery, our standard warranty delivers complete protection for confidence on every journey.
  8. Correct everything other than hybrid components where it is extended to 5 years.
  9. Technically the vehicle may not have had a hybrid health check for the first 60k miles/5 years as the battery is covered by manufacturer's warranty which doesn't require Lexus to service the vehicle and the health check isn't part of the official service schedule. It doesn't matter how many miles the vehicle has done provided it is less than 15 years old. If you pass the health check then Lexus warrant it can go another 10k miles/12 months. If you do more the 10k miles a year you just get multiple services/health checks every 10k miles. The 140k miles limit is on taking out an extended warranty. If you extend an existing extended warranty before expiry, there is no mileage limit nor is there a mileage limit during the warranty period. The T&Cs obviously change over time. The hybrid heath check wasn't always 15 years but has been improved over the years, essentially to keep up with the age of the first Lexus hybrid (RX400h) which came out in 2005.
  10. I think there is only one Nav manual that covers both systems. Although it seems to be written more for the 10.3" version there should be both 10.3" and 7" sections throughout.
  11. That may be true if such a thing existed at a Lexus dealer but currently there are zero for sale.
  12. except that when you dispose of that asset, you will be balanced charged for the full amount you sell it for which will be added to your taxable profits.
  13. It's an air valve. LS430 VSV Diagnosis.pdf
  14. There would be a manufacturer's opinion that your dampers are well past their best at 110k miles but they tend to get softer over time so replacing them with standard OEM ones probably won't solve your issue. Most, if not all, aftermarket shocks would be stiffer to cater for the performance market and improve handling so I won't think you will find softer ones (unless the OEM US ones are softer), and you would need to replace the springs as well. The best way to improve things is to move to 18" wheels, and/or lower your tyre pressures a little.
  15. I don't think you have many other options than to start taking some of the trim away. As anyone who has done any plumbing will know, the place of the leak compared to the place where the water appears are normally far apart. If you have a sunroof then open that up and pour water into the channel to make sure it drains away to under the vehicle - not sure of there are two or four drains on the series III. If they get blocked the water can back up and leak at joints in the pipework.
  16. I've not heard of this on a series III. As you say there are quite a few instances of series II problems, mainly glued seems coming apart. I can really only suggest working your way down the vehicle - here is a problem found on a series II which shows you the things to look for:
  17. The NX300h doesn't have an easily accessible secondary cat, unlike the RX400h, so it isn't as easy to steal.
  18. Just don't expect your insurance to pay out on a theft of contents from your vehicle claim. 😉
  19. I believe there is a way to disable/enable the nav guidance. Try press and holding the DISP button
  20. P1651 is quite common on the 430 engine. It is the VSV that controls the ACIS that fails. It is a pain to replace as you need to remove the intake manifold to get to it - make sure all the wiring and vacuum hoses are in good condition whist you have access. Not sure why the other two codes have come on - I've seen another report of all three codes coming on at once but I believe the VSV is the main issue.
  21. What's annoying is that it is possible on the Toyota badged version of the system, my wife's Prius will display RSA info on the head-up display and dashboard and the normal road speed limit on the Nav screen at the same time but for some reason having the two together has been removed from the Lexus system 😞
  22. I find the SMS feature works intermittently at best, even just displaying an incoming message is problematic. I wouldn't take too much advise from US forums, they have different systems/firmware compared to European vehicles.
