  1. Those are possibly the parking brake motors? There is only a single rear drive motor.
  2. It's a normal one, not AGM.
  3. That's not really how trickle charging works. You limit the current, not lower the voltage below 13v, otherwise the chemistry with a lead acid battery won't allow it to charge, certainly not to full capacity.
  4. How well is it connected to the battery? I wonder if there is resistance in the connection which would result in the measured voltage being lower than reality - do you have a volt meter to confirm?
  5. No, it needs to be at 14v+ to be charging correctly. Is the vehicle actually EV charging or is it just with the charger connected and waiting for a scheduled charging time? All that appears to be happening is that the 12v supply is not coming from the battery, which will stop it discharging, but it isn't enough voltage to actually charge it up.
  6. Correct, there is no Sport/Power mode. If you have the paddle shifters then S mode is the only way to make it more responsive over standard.
  7. This was added to the 250h as part of the facelift upgrade for MY23, not part of this new 300h update.
  8. Hopefully your dealer will resolve this for you. In terms of new functionality, the following are the new feature that v3 provides: Proactive Driver Assist - detects objects and will brake/steer if there is a risk of collision. Rear indicator flashing - turns on the rear hazard lights if an approaching vehicle is at risk of rear ending your vehicle. Safe Exit Assist - visual warning/alarm if you open a door into the path of traffic/cyclist. Driver Monitor - visual warning/alarm if the driver loses concentration. This is in addition to the features that the previous version provided, including Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Centre Assist, Lane Trace Assist, Road Sign Assist, Emergency Driving Stop & Automatic High Beam/Adaptive High-beam System. Of those 4 features, only Proactive Driver Assist is common across all grades. In the UK you need the Premium grade to get Driver Monitor, and you need Premium Plus for the last two features (probably because you also need Blind Stop Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert for it to work).
  9. The 'upgrade' is different components fitted at the factory. I wouldn't think it possible to be fitted with the old parts once the assembly line was updated to start producing the new model.
  10. What grade vehicle do you have, and what features do you believe are missing? Most of the new features are only provided with the Premium Plus grade and above.
  11. Yes, the concern would be after the warranty qualification period has past and the oldest examples are already over 10 years old now.
  12. Rear wheel steering and variable ratio steering are standard on all series IV 450h F Sport models, both pre and post facelift. Not available on any other 450h grade and not available at all on any other engine combination. Therefore if you are concerned about rear steering rack issues, avoid all GS 450h F Sport.
  13. Not much to look out for specifically. The 2019 models didn't come with CarPlay/AA - it needs a software upgrade so negotiate that into the deal if it hasn't already been done. Runflat tyres may be noisy, depending on which brand are fitted.
  14. Do you mean in terms of just the NX models or Lexus in general? If the latter then the LS or LM (if you are being driven).
  15. The LBX has only just been released so no plans for an upgrade in the near term - in fact the system power was only just upgraded from the existing Yaris Cross for the LBX, which has now become available on the Yaris Cross on the higher end grades.
  16. The CAN bus the lights are connect to on the IS isn't the same one as the door entry system - this is why the IS isn't vulnerable to the CAN bus attack that other models are.
  17. The facelift IS uses CAN bus controlled headlights - you would need to modify wiring and replace the main body ECU at a minimum and probably other things too. Probably cheaper to sell your vehicle and purchase a 2017 one.
  18. Floating callipers are cheap - hence fitted to most of the models. The GS used two pot callipers back in the day along with the LS:
  19. You have done this? Physically they will but I'm not sure all the wiring/connectors will be there.
  20. No I wasn't. You charge overtime at 8.95p from the grid and then you don't have to wait for your solar generation to charge your battery before you start earning 15p kWh.
  21. Hopefully you charge to 100% overnight so you can start exporting immediately 😉
  22. Highly unlikely. They have produced an adapter that goes the other way and they have a new charger that allows non-Telsas in the US to use the superchargers but that is for CCS 1 that is used by many EVs in the US, not Chademo.
  23. Those adapters are quite new, expensive and not fully compatible with all chargers. Certainly something worth considering as Chademo gets phased out but you shouldn't need one currently as there are plenty of chargers around in Europe - just plan your route.
